Should be able to. I'd put the bead onto the tubing threader first, then feed it onto the tubing to where you need it.

Ah okay. Strange considering they are using the c beads on the tubing! You'd think they'd put them on both!

The bead that comes on the Submerge ready tied leaders isn't a C bead

No you just unclip the bead from the sleeve, push the swivel up the tubing and put the C bead back on the sleeve. Then you add a top bead. I literally did this last night. No need to take everything off  your default top bead becomes your bottom bead in the space of 5 seconds.
Of course I haven't attached to my mainline yet, if you have then yes you have to take it off/apart to add a bead.

The beads are c clips style so you only need to pop it off, move the swivel above and put it back then add a top bead.

I will add some bottom beads but once I've taken the beads of to put them on I may as well have just tied up leaders myself so probably do that in future

Carp Whisperer is the only one who understands how to make a decent heli/chod leader, i use it with a Korda boom/loop and the hooking is always 100% perfect, with the 20cm buffer system the carp also has much less chance of shaking the hook loose with the help of the lead. I really don't understand why other manufacturers don't use a buffer system and prefer to rely on that idiotic lead drop system.

Just a case of buying some beads and putting one on up the tubing. It's the length of the tubing which is more limiting tbh. I got some tubing anyway for other lead set ups so will swap bits around.
Don't plan on switching to tubing in general, it's just for a specific venue for a trip full of crays hence the fox stuff. Tubing seems more of a faff to set up than anything else.

None of the Fox ready tied heli leaders have a bottom bead annoyingly. Rubbish for chods.

The tubing threader is great for getting sleeves on to rig tubing. The tubing goes right through the tool and out the back, so you can get your sleeves onto the tubing anywhere without wrecking the tubing.

Neither does the tuning version but I plan to add a top bead with the fancy tubing threader tool

I think the diameter of the collar is enought for the rig to rest on on the cast, if your dropping the lead you need the rig to be pulling down on that collar to open up...ive just set ine up on leadfree leader and they seem really good

I know on the Korda heli safes it stopped the lead from dropping most of the time.

Strangely the leadcore leaders don't have a bottom bead.

Had the 3x ready made helis delivered today. Fairly short amount of tubing, not ideal for chods but doable.
Agree with you about the beads being tight but I think you can bend them out slightly to be better.
Had to watch a video on how to get the rubber sleeve off the mechanism. Didn't realise you need to twist it to pop it off! Won't be using them until end of March so will see how I get on with them.

I need to buy some of these Fox ones to test, but heli's aren't allowed on my current syndicate.
I have had issues once in the past with a Korda clip, it was a sandy bottom and some grit got into the clip and it stopped functioning correctly. Otherwise they've always been OK.
The twist functionality (lock/unlock) is a nice/simpler touch on the Fox versions

my mate has blown up a few korda helisafes on big chucks, the lead retainer arm is only plastic...
The fox lead retaining arm is metal.

I prefer the korda heli safe. I'll probably use the components from fox, but swap the actual fox heli-clip to the korda heli safe.

Already bought some tubing and spare beads, was waiting for the heli clips to drop individually but will buy the 3 pack as you did and use the other tubing for other lead set ups.
What do you think of the clip vs korda helisafes?

The good thing is they are "C" shape so they will come off under pressure, but I found they seemed a bit tight. They may be absolutely fine, I'll let you know when I give them a good test. Just a heads up, if you buy the tubing as a set of 3, thy don't give you any spare beads in the pack. So, may be worth buying a pack of beads anyway

I'm likely to purchase these as need to use tubing on a social in March. How tight is tight on the beads? I'll likely add my own top bead to fish chods.

Hi guys,
Anyone purchased and tried them out yet? I bought the tubing version and the top bead seems very tight to come off. I'm going to use them, but by seeing them and touchy/feely - I think I prefer the korda's heli-safe.
