In reply to Post #280 Quote... Good on her using the smaller gardner tables too. Thats some grind considering the volumes you must be doing nowadays.
Nah, it's not a grind whatsoever Andy. We use what we use, for very specific reasons indeed. The balanced hook baits, we can roll on any tables. The crushed cork pop ups, not so, we need those specific smaller tables, for reasons there's no need to go into here.

2nd comp today. (See other in post 272, below this one) 17 photos below. Guess the combined weights again for three tubs of hook baits & free delivery.
Anyone who gets within 4oz of the combined weight of all 17, prize gets doubled again.

|
|
|
|
Two comps today. Each one is for three tubs of hook baits & free delivery. You get one guess for each. Whoever is closest in both by midday on Wednesday, wins.
Anyone who gets the EXACT correct total of tubs for this comp, the prize gets doubled.
First comp. In the bait heater are 16 trays of Fizz-S2 at various stages. We put 35 baits into each pot. How many pots in total are there in that bait heater?
(If you notice the trays on the 3rd shelf up, these are the true colour of the baits before they go through our processes. They return to this colour after a few hours in the water).

I've been flat out. I will get another couple of comps up later for some more free hook baits. The shops have asked me to post something online. They are getting absolutely bombarded with phone calls asking when the stuff will be back in stock. Yesterday we had over 80 messages asking the same, 60+ the day before. In the next few days I will post something on the other forms of social media. But for now on here.
We are now rolling flat out at our new place. That in the photo below is just 5 mixes of 16mm Fizz-S2 pop ups drying right now in the heater that was rolled yesterday. We have so much stuff completed already. A stupid ammount. Within the next two weeks...
The TackleBox will have Fizz-S2 (Nut), GPB2 (Fish), GPB1 (Nut), original S2 (Nut) & Ming-GPB2 (Fish).
FishOn will have Fizz-S2, GPB2, GPB1, original S2 & ScopexPineapple-S2 (Nut).
JohnsonRoss will have Fizz S2, GPB2, GPB1, original S2 & PPPP-S2 (Peach, Pineapple, Plum & Pepper EO, Nut).
Within a couple of weeks after that, all three shops will have the rest of our range too (Curry etc). Going forwards, there will be no more gaps in stock. The shops will have it all, constantly. We now have the ability to make enough hook baits to keep up with the demand going forwards. We had to do this move. I am sorry for anyone who did not stock up or contact us when the website first came down. The stuff will be back on the shelves really soon.

We still have some bits & bobs in most variants. Will do some giveaways over the next week for CarpForum members. Starting later today.
|
|
|
|
We have been absolutely bombarded with WhatsApp messages over the past few days asking when the shops will have more stock. JohnsonRoss, The TackleBox & FishOn say their phones have not stopped ringing asking when they will have all of our entire range in stock now our website has been taken down. We blew through all of the stock we had to tide us over whilst moving now too. A months worth in a few days from people panic buying. We are already rolling at our new place as fast as we can.
The shops will have bundles within the next two to three weeks. From then on, they should always have stock going forwards now. It will not be long. Hopefully any of you reading who needed stuff contacted us & has enough to tide you over. TackleBox still has a little stock of Tutti-S2, Ming-GPB2 & DNA Bug. JR & FO are completely sold out for now I think. They will all have loads very soon.

Forum watcher Peter at Welly, first trip in ages, very first time using the Tuttis & the CarpForum Whiskey-S2 that you all chose. He was so desperate to catch that Rudder. Two 40's & a couple of others. Well done Pete.

Peter exclusive posts today. Forum member Pete just does not stop catching at the moment. 39+ & 40+ mirrors being the best from his trip this week. Curry-S2, PPPP-S2 & GPB2. Well done Pete.

Louie with a lovely mirror. Great photo. FishOn ScopexPineapple S2

Forum member Andy, 37+, Fizz S2 over K2

Forum member Dean, Tutti S2

Forum member Chris with 2 x 50's from a public venue in France. Fizz S2

In reply to Post #168 Awesome.

In reply to Post #166 Quote... That's one of the best carp I've seen in years. Absolutely incredible.
Here's the very first time it was ever caught from that pit, by Ben. Fish is named after him. Ben was on the RMC forum Ian, old Thames angler. Looking at that fish & knowing it comes from a Thames floodplain pit, I'd put money on the fact that was a Thames carp originally. Might be wrong, but it really looks like a Thames one. Even down to the big scar on it's belly. Lots of old Thames ones get big scars on their belly from going over weirs in floods, or when they go over flooded banks into pits.
Ben never caught this on our hook baits. Just sharing his photo of its first ever capture.

|
|
|
|
In reply to Post #166 Same here Ian. It's got the lot. That fish has put on 6lb in the last six months too. Growing fast. I've got some other incredible fish to post from the same bloke, from the same pit.

In reply to Post #163 That's one of the best carp I've seen in years. Absolutely incredible.

In reply to Post #164 It certainly is Dave. Best mirror I have seen for a good while. It has size, comes from a very famous old venue & seems to be pretty much unknown to the masses. Gavin has caught some incredible fish on our hook baits. Says they have completely changed his angling. It's always the nicest compliment I get mate.
Alfie, Essex Manor, Red Cinnamon-S2

Jacko again. The carp this lad has caught on work over nighters this spring, from two different pits are simply insane. Johnson Ross PPPP-S2 (Peach, Pineapple, Plum & Pepper EO). He's also had five this week on the TackleBox Ming-GPB2.

|
|
|
|
In reply to Post #163 It's a stunner alright
|
|
|
|
Some real high grade. Gavin cradling a 53lb+ mirror & 49lb+ common from a very low stock Thames Valley pit. GPB1 13mm balanced over DeepFish freezers.
Best mirror I've seen for a while, where it's from makes it 10 x better. Threads on here recently asking about this pit. Here's the cream. That mirror is insane IMO.

This is the same Carl at Lac Du Premier last week. He tragically lost his carp fishing brother Ricky last Friday whilst there. Ricky's last words to him were "Go catch a 40 bruv". He done a bit better than that on the Fizz S2.
He only went to Linear today in the last post to clear his head. Ended up with a new PB. His brother would be so proud I'm sure. Fishing really can be the greatest healer sometimes

|
|
|
|
Carl, got some Fizz S2 from Johnson Ross. First time out with them in the UK, 47+ new PB, the big fully from Linear Manor Farm.
Well done Carl. That ecstatic smile is what carp fishing is all about.

For every pathetic troll post trying to make me bite... I'll post a customer with a 40+ in reply girls. Your video is from Aug 2024. We have been making the liver hydro since 2012. Only twelve years out. Top listing on google if you google 'How to hydrolyse liver'. Try harder you soppy mugs. I hope for your sakes that you're slightly better at carp fishing than you are at this furniture boy. I really should start paying you a bit of rent, living inside your muggy head for free for so long now xx

Ryan, Walthamstow 2, Fizz S2

Ryan, Theale Island, Fizz S2

Forum member Ian, Fizz S2

Forum member Kye with some ancient stunners, Fizz S2

In reply to Post #150 It's completely up to you if you use fillets, or the whole fish mate. Just strain the bones out afterwards.
You will be able to hydro it yourself Ian, whatever it is.
The Ming-GPB2 which we make for the TackleBox contain the Mackerel/Sardine hydro.
Our website was removed last night. The shops will all have our entire range very soon. Anyone who is desperate over the next couple of weeks for anything, WhatsApp message us. We still have some stock, just low of everything now. If we can help you we will.
Darren, the big linear from Welly. Still 44+ @ 50+ years old. Another of the most famous fish in the UK that had been caught so many endless times on our hook baits. Fizz S2

James, one of the beautiful Dinton White Swan big commons that rarely visits the bank. GPB1.
|
|
|
|
In reply to Post #149 Ooh that's interesting. There's a particular fish I'd like to hydro that's never been done before ,or at least not for sale
|
|
|
|
In reply to Post #149 Looking forward to reading this. The best hydro I've ever seen was a mackerel one which was the whole fish including guts. The smell was off the scale.
|
|
|
|
Following on from how to make ultra active CSL. When I get a chance over the next week, I will write out how to make two homemade hydros. This one is a bit more involved and will take far longer to explain. Liver (Beef/Chicken), and also fish. (Sardine/Mackerel). Both will far exceed anything that you can buy off the shelf from any bait firm. First you will make a bacteria culture. This will take you a week. Once made, this will last you for around 18 months... This will then allow you to hydrolyse absolutely anything you want. I'll show you how to make the best liver & fish hydro that you could imagine.
Well done all of you below.
Forum member Mark. First fish from a new water. Lovely Mark. Fizz S2

Chris, brace at the Woolpack. 'Freya' @ 47+ & a very rarely banked 'Guest' common. Single hook baits, 16mm balanced GPB1

Roy, first two from a new water. Both 35+. OG S2

Andy, 39+. I caught my first 20+ common from this lake 40 years ago when it was 'Rushes'. GPB2.

Forum member Andy. 3 x 30's in a day. Fizz S2

Jacko, new water, same results, Johnson Ross PPPP-S2 (Peach/Pineapple/Plum/Pepper EO)

James, Dinton White Swan. Curry-GPB1

Whilst we are showing some 'stuff'.... Who saw a green house for 'growing' carp drugs before?
This one is just set up & not in use yet. No power running to it yet. It's storing a few empty bottles which I mix our liquids up in for now. Another will go next to it. In a week, they will be full to the brim 24/7 with hook baits. They hold up to 30kg on each open wire shelf.
We now have two bases, three new separate storage areas. Our website is going very soon indeed, as mentioned a month ago on here. After which we will only be selling through the shops, no longer direct. We can concentrate on just making the stuff. This will give us the chance to be a bit more forthcoming on social media going forwards. For so long now, we can't make the stuff fast enough to suit the increasing demand. Which often means not physically being able to post on the other forms of social media whatsoever for fear of making it any busier. Like this year so far. I will have so much more time soon. We will be able to show a lot more of what we actually do going forwards now.
Our production is about to multiply substantially.
|
|
|
|
A bit more important information for you Ray & Ian if you are going to make some yourself. That's another bottle of activated EM Pro sitting on top of that industrial bucket brewing. The bucket itself is nothing like a carp bucket. It has five rubber ridge seals on it that the lid snaps down onto. You literally have to stand astride the bucket with four fingers in those grips to remove those lids. You really want a vessel that seals well & is very sturdy/air tight. When they make it commercially it's made in air tight vats. You only want to add it to a bucket with a burp hole once it's actually bubbling and active. Until then you want it completely air tight, so no burp hole for the first two/three weeks. I just switch lids to one with a small hole in.
If you want to kill the activity for ease of storage, boil it at the end which will kill all the probiotics/bacteria. It will eventually die anyway when the food (sugar) runs out. The activity is the friendly bacterias creating carbon dioxide as it munches/pre digests the maize & sugars. Sounds more sexy than it actually is in reality. All you really need to do is turn that maize into liquid, once the bacteria has done that, it's job is really done IMO.

400ml of pure un-sulphured molasses
300ml of pre-activated EM-1 or EM Pro
Stir it every couple of days. Nah the daytime & nighttime temps in the UK vary to much, just leave in it indoors constantly at room temp. It will just take a few days longer. Stable temps are much better.
CSL is essentially a corn hydro. You are hydrolysing the maize. The molasses is the food for the friendly bacteria in the EM to feed and multiply. When the bacterias food is all used up, the activity will stop. By adding more food, you can keep the activity going pretty much forever.
To activate the EM, you want 40ml molasses, 40ml EM-1 or EM Pro. Get a 1 litre bottle of mineral water and pour into a pan. Heat until just warm, not to hot. Pour the molasses & EM into the empty bottle, then fill the bottle right to the brim with the warmed water. No air. Burb it everyday. In three days that will be active and ready to use. You can make it without pre-activating the EM-1/Pro... But I find it gives better results by pre-activating it.
To make without pre-activating the EM, just add 30ml of EM to each one litre of water used.

In reply to Post #137 Hi there, how much EM-1 and un-sulphured molasses would you put in say a litre of water and could you leave it in the sunshine to warm it up.

In reply to Post #140 It works very well with other stuff too.
The probiotics also produce a lot of beneficial by products, when they really get to work. Different amino acids & the like.
Fermentation is king.
|
|
|
|
In reply to Post #139 Will do! I'm thinking the process may work with some other fermentable things too, to make some interesting things to try out
|
|
|
|
In reply to Post #138 You're welcome. Make certain you put a burp hole in the top of the bucket so that it can breathe, or it will blow up
You'll know when it's ready... All you will be left with is skin and mainly pulp. Strain it all and keep it in bottles with burp holes in the caps. It will become a much more golden colour.

In reply to Post #137 Cheers mark. I have aquariums and use an r/o unit for those so nice pure water isn't an issue. Also there's chloramine used in my water supply so standing the water won't help with that. I'll have to give it a go I think
|
|
|
|
In reply to Post #136 No, it's also un-sulphured molasses and EM-1 Pro. You can make it without the EM-1, but it 100% helps to speed things up. EM-1 is dormant microorganisms. By fermenting with un-sulphured molasses & de chlorinated water, they come to life and start to multiply. Lactic acid & yeast are formed, then bacterias break down the corn. What you are left with is CSL. EM-1 is meant for agricultural uses, EM Pro is the human grade version. I was advised to just use standard EM-1, but I've always gone for the human grade version.
No Junglist, you don't boil it, that will kill it. Gentle heat. To reduce it, for us it goes into the bottom of our bait drier with the lid off. Gentle warmth is all that is needed. An airing cupboard or similar gentle warmth will do the same.
When you make it yourself, you can have it far more active than anything you can buy.
To de chlorinate tap water, just leave a bucket of tap water to the air for 24 hours first, it will all evaporate. Or if you can't be bothered use very cheap large bottled water. It's just very important there is nothing in there to stop fermentation. Chlorine in the water, or sulphur in the molasses. Both will stop the fermentation from happening.

In reply to Post #132 Do you add anything to get the process going mark? Or is it just maize water and warmth?
|
|
|
|
In reply to Post #132 Nice one Mark
Is it then a just a case of putting the CSL liquid to simmer to reduce it to a more concentrated liquid?

In reply to Post #128 That's how corn steep liquor is made. Yeah, already the insides of the kernels are starting to break down after two weeks. Within a few more weeks it will only be skin left.
By the time that's all reduced it will produce around 10L of supersonic CSL.

In reply to Post #127 Is that maize fermented to such an extent its just liquid?
Must smell fruity!!!!
|
|
|
|
Two weeks into a six week ferment. It's sitting in front of that air conditioning unit for good reason, blowing heat onto that sealed bucket 24/7. Microorganisms & yeast at work. In three-four weeks time, there will only be the skin & some pulp of those kernels left. The liquid will be dark golden & bubbling like a witches cauldron.
It's so active, if you put the completed reduced liquid into a bottle with a screwed up lid, it violently blows the caps clean off the threads without burp holes within the hour. Even in the fridge it blows right up.
It's not for sale before anyone messages asking. It goes into the hook baits.

New guns for our new base. The red ones are newer updated versions of the orange Chinese guns which I put the thread on here of before. The ones from eBay that a lot of you purchased. These newer versions are brushless, have more quiet motors. Come with two upgraded higher power lithiums instead of just one. Can't find them for delivery in the UK yet though (or UK plugs).

All of our original orange guns are still going strong. We have never managed to break one of them yet, using them all day, everyday. So hoping these new red ones will also be long term pukka.

Thank you all for the kind donations.
I will be putting all names of donators from here & Faceache into a hat and drawing someones name on the 1st April. I'll post the winner of the £200 of hook baits on here. It's a chance to get some Krill, Cell, Bug, or anything whatsoever where the base mix & powders are publicly available for sale. Made our way, put through our process. It could be your own bait, made into a hook bait form by us. This is not available to anyone else whatsoever.
This is the same Colin Hunt back in September 2015 with a 50+ UK Common. He caught this (the biggest in the lake), also the second biggest (uncaught for three years) + three others in his first & only four nights as a member. We have received an incredible number of messages over the past week on our work mobile, from both CF members & CF watchers as guests. Thank you all so much. I'll write the same thing here, as has been replied to so many of those messages. The moment VPN's are blocked on this forum, allowing people to have multiple users (even after being banned over & over again) I will be straight back. Until that time, it's just untenable for me to be here sadly. I don't like the other forms of social media for my own personal use. I much prefer this forum. Being sport for absolute dinlos on here is no fun though.
VPN's change your location & your IP address. I am of the personal opinion, that anyone who needs to visit this forum by changing their identity, are simply not here for any good reasons whatsoever. Over the past few years it has become like a sport for certain people (previously banned members) with far too much time on their hands to have multiple users on here. But that's just my opinion, it's not my forum, I'm just a member… I can't block VPN's.
The post below is on our Facebook page. The below also applies to anyone on here. From as little as a fiver donation you could win some very exclusive hook baits from us.
A real Donald Leney special.
This is Colin Hunt. Many of you may well know Colin, he's been around the big carp scene for a very long time now. I know Col from Roach Pit, more than a decade ago. I was so saddened to hear recently that he has suffered from a number of debilitating strokes over the past few years. In 2022 Colin suffered back to back strokes. In July 2025 he had yet another really bad stroke. He now suffers from memory loss, epilepsy and has facial paralysis because of it all. He's a real fighter though and he keeps bouncing back! If you search on Facebook for Catchforcol you will find a group set up by his friends to promote a fish-in that is happening on Manor & St Johns on the 27th March. Raffle tickets are being sold to raise money for the Stroke Association on behalf of Colin. So many great prizes from carp fishing companies across the board. Lots of famous anglers attending the event, from Ian Russell to Lewis Read and so many more. You will find all of the prizes on the Catchforcol page, from numerous large tackle and bait firms. Along with many exclusive auctions for some incredible donations. From one off paintings of Terry Hearn holding Bazil, to lake exclusives on some incredible pits. Signed books from the likes of Tom Bankes and Micky Gray, signed tackle from the likes of team Korda. Solar Tackle even donated a motorised barrow to help Colin to get back out fishing. The list is endless. We sent a donation of £350 of our hook baits for the raffle for Colin, along with a TackleBox CFX take apart 12m baiting pole, with extensions taking it up to 20m. Float, spoon and all of the accessories needed. Kindly donated by Gary Peet of the TackleBox. Lots of Col's friends have donated large sums of cash and amazing prizes for the raffle/auctions. Any other company that would like to donate, see the Catchforcol page on Facebook to contact Colin & friends directly.
Anyone who makes a donation on the JustGiving link below of £5 or more, please add your full name on the JustGiving page. Then post 'done' in the comments of this post. We will pick out a winner at the end of the month at random and send them £200 worth of any of our newest hook baits of your choice, on next day delivery. Or if you want something else a little bit more exclusive from us... Sticky Krill? Mainline Cell? DNA Bug? We will look right after you! The more multiples of £5 your donation contains, the more entries you receive. All proceeds from the event go directly to the Stroke Association.
The fish Colin is holding here is a fifty plus year old true Oxfordshire Leney, caught by Col just last week. There's only a very tiny handful of these incredible old fish left in the entire country now. We sent Col a couple of extra tubs of our hook baits to use for himself at the event after our donation. First trip out with them on the pit he is currently fishing, Col caught this incredible old Leney carp on a Fizz S2. It's hard to put into words the joy this capture has brought to Colin. He's finally back out on the bank doing exactly what he loves.
Please make a donation on the link below if you can afford to. The Stroke Association are helping people like Colin every single day.

Again, thank you for the kind words. It's all good, life moves on.
Better to end this thread from me with some happy faces... Not posts about sad old internet blokes, with mental health issues and broken lives as per the last few posts.
Better to end it on this.
Albi is only five years old. Albi absolutely loves carp fishing. It makes him smile, a lot (apart from when scaly's slap him around the mooey like in the bottom pic).
That's what it is really all about. Those happy faces.

Sorry to hear this Mark, truly a sad day for the forum, Your contributions have been invaluable to so many on here. I guess you've been so close to pulling the plug many times but finally decided enough is enough.

In reply to Post #88 Thank you for the kind words. It means so much.
They can win this small battle. I don't care. The war is what you win in real life, not the pathetic little battles in the shadows of the internet. That is pure children's stuff. I have too much going on with SHB to waste my time on these losers. Blokes who have far too much time on their hands, all day, everyday. I don't have their endless time. This has gone on ever since the very first days I joined this forum. It's literally never stopped. That's many years now. It was going on for Karl and the forum long before I was ever here. Same blokes. Constant sly digs in the background trying to get a rise. Right up to all out pure nasty spite. But it's got so much worse, the better we are outwardly seen to be doing over the last couple of years. That in itself shows absolutely everything, what this is really all about. It's a level of obsession that defies normal logic. It's a level of obsession that shows some very serious mental illness. It's just spineless, bat **** crazy blokes on the internet. I am so very public, our phone number is available to all. But I would never hear from these people in real life. Not once. Not ever. Because that's real, with end consequence. They live in the shadows of the internet where they stupidly actually believe that there is no real life consequences for them. It's a comfort blanket for them, because it's not real. They can portray something to the world which they are not in real life. When you actually find out how sad their pitiful existence is in real life, all becomes absolutely crystal clear. Sadly they thrive off of the anonymity which they can get here under numerous fake profiles. That's why they are so completely obsessed with here. They are here right now. They live on the other smaller forums constantly too, but know that no one is looking, or gives a monkeys. So they do what they do here, over and over again. They just don't get my attention which they crave so much anymore online.
As far as me being able to be on here, it's just not for the best of either the forum, or me anymore. These people are absolutely obsessed with this place sadly. They can't walk away. No matter how many times they get banned or told no over and over again by Karl. I am not obsessed whatsoever. I can walk away from here in a heartbeat, that's exactly what I will have to do now. It's really for the best for everyone.
It's okay. Like I said, the most incredible things are happening for SHB going forwards. I need to concentrate solely on that. I have just realised today, that this craziness regarding here, it is never going to stop. That's all. So I'll just have to walk away from here. The exact thing, which they have never been able to do.
I wish all of you the very best in the future, I really do.

A real shame Mark. Hopefully one day you'll feel like making a return. Gleamed plenty of info over the years that you've posted. Take care of yourself and keep doing what you're doing. The trolls will never achieve what you have.

The time has now come for me to say goodbye to the forum sadly. It's really for the best now, not just for me, but for the forum itself too I truly believe. I've not been asked to leave, far from it. It's just what me & mine think is for the best now. Me being here, just brings constant and never ending trouble from a certain crowd of ex members under fake profiles. That's no longer viable anymore. It's not great for the forum either. As much as I love conversing with people here, sadly that's no longer possible. That's life. It moves on.
I wish all of you on here the very best of luck in the future. I would like to thank you all from the very bottom of my heart. I have met so many amazing carp anglers via this forum. I have spoken to so many of you via our work phones WhatsApp. There has been plenty of ups & downs since I've been here… But the real genuine members, make this a truly great place.
From me to you reading this, thank you. Take care all of you xxx

In reply to Post #80
I hope some of you took that 9's yesterday. It's now 15-2 with 365 & shortening across the board. It came in 1.5 points yesterday. 3 points the day before.
The Cheltenham preview shows/nights have all started, I watched the PaddyPower one last night in bed. Ruby Walsh (closely connected inside the Mullins stable) was very clear about this horses chance in this race. Very specific indeed. That had me cheering like a loon at 2am here
It's been shortening ever since I got the maximum stakes I could get on, but that price is going to absolutely collapse over the next week imo. If you backed it at 9's you could lay it all off for a very healthy return on your money with zero risk next week. But you should let it run.
I have a lot on to win. They increase my max stake for the big festivals by 200% on each account, because there's so much more liquidity in the markets. So I can get a lot more on than normal. If that horse wins, I will have had an amazing Cheltenham, whatever else happens. I have it linked with other fancies in big win doubles at those fancy prices too. Win lose or draw, we already have the 'value'. That's all you can do. Hopefully the horse will then do the business for us.
It's become tradition now to buy a stupidly expensive pair of sunglasses after big wins. Hopefully next week there will be a few new pairs knocking about Ashley. It's all good fun.

In reply to Post #78 Thanks Andy. Jan 2023 I picked up a 25kg sack out of a tall storage bin. Bent over the bin at a stupid angle. One of the most crazy things I've done in my life. I was a plasterer for years & know how to pick stuff up properly. Leaning over at a stupid angle with straight legs is not the way forwards. I felt my groin go instantly. Then a few months later I ripped it even worse picking up a 23kg suitcase in Brazil. Worked hard on it for two years before I could no longer walk... Had a double hernia operation abroad last April. I thought it was still a bit mullered as I still have been getting a numb pain right at top of my left leg for the last few months. Turns out scar tissue has enveloped a nerve into the mesh.
Plenty of physio & a course of injections should sort it the surgeon says.
You could not believe how happy I am. I was absolutely ruined last April for six weeks after the op. I REALLY did not want to have another operation. So glad it's getting resolved. It's been a major pain in the arris for a long time now.
|
|
|
|
In reply to Post #77 That's a result Mark... Surgeries at our age, regardless of quality of care or how minor/major aren't to be taken lightly.
I've funded too many surgeon's ski holidays over the years and the last few really have caught up with me. Don't skip on the physio dedication!
Cheers for the tip, seem to remember doing ok on one from you last year!
|
|
|
|
I flew across the world expecting to need surgery tomorrow morning. All booked. During my pre op appointment with my surgeon yesterday & after scans, turns out I do not need more surgery. I have some nerve damage from surgery last April. I only need physio & some drugs. Major, major result. Saved me an absolute fortune too.
I'm not trying to turn anyone into a gambler. But if you fancy a punt at Cheltenham next week.... This is your horse below IMO. This is a post to my friends from my personal social media.

In reply to Post #74 There is the photo from the start of that YouTube video Dave. I see you in the comments
I'm going to get a load imported into the UK the moment that I know that they are kosher a bit longer term. The red one is more powerful. Has a better battery. The yellow is FAR quieter than the orange guns we are using. The red one is completely silent though. You can barely even hear it. Brushless motor.
They would seem to be absolutely pukka. But they need putting through their paces before I get loads imported.
Edit. I just see your PM. I doubt that you will get a reply though. The people I have purchased from could not get the European import licences sorted. I guess that's why we have never seen them in the UK. That's no problem though, that is all sorted if they are pukka longer term. Don't worry I will make sure that you get one. I ain't getting them imported to flog them on for profit. Let me know if you do hear back from them though. I have scoured everywhere in the UK & cannot source them. I have been looking for a while. I first saw these guns in 2025.
I think the red ones are going to end up better though Dave.

Can't find them in the UK. Not even on Temu. When I said direct from source, I meant that literally
I have got two of each for now. Once they get put through their paces I will be back & getting a load more. The red one comes with a solid plunger too.

Approx just under £30 at factory source in China. That's with one lithium battery. £33 with two lithium batteries. The yellow one comes with two different plunger attachments. One plunger with slits like the orange guns, a solid one too with no slits like the Gardner/Cox. Many thousands of 5 star reviews for both. The red one is a couple of quid more. Both come in a hard ABS plastic case with spares.
Both of them are the absolute bowlocks.

Some random photos of special commons.
Early April 2017. Ben with the Wood from Spitfire. S2

May 2019. I personally think this is one of the best carp ever caught on our hook baits. The bloke is blurred out because a close friend of his is so desperate to catch this same fish. He'd been trying for years. The blur is also covering background that gives away the venue slightly to anyone in the know. It's from a very large, strictly non fishing pit in the south, that contains just two carp. This is the first time this very near 50lb common was caught. Apparently, it's not seen the bank since either. S2

Salt.
I see so much terrible information written online about salt. From when to use it being the main one, closely followed by how or why it works. Many will try salt at the complete wrong time of the year & then completely dismiss it out of hand. Like so many things in carp fishing, it's very time specific. Try it at the right time, you will see it's real power.
To start with… Most of the year it will hardly have much effect. Often it is said/written that carp look for sodium pre spawning… This is also not true whatsoever. The time to use salt is from the moment that the fish spawn, right through the summer whilst the water is really warm. Sodium helps them massively by repairing them after spawning. It's not even that attractive to carp I don't believe in terms of making them feed. But by adding some salt to your free bait & regularly baiting a swim/area… Nothing whatsoever will keep carp welded to your spot like salt will (when they need it). You don't need a lot. Like most things in carp fishing bait, little & often is by far the best way to apply it. Add it to particles, coat your boiled baits in it. Whatever way you chose to get it onto your spot, from the moment that they spawn nothing will keep carp in an area like sodium will. When I fished on Roach Pit, some of the most famous UK anglers could never understand why the lakes stock would continually show on my chosen area long after I was not there. Days after all the bait was gone (visible from the boat). Salt in the bottom was what was keeping those fish showing like crazy on the spot. They will dig out the bottom to get it when they need it. Putting it in 'raw' is simply not the one I always found, even though many favour this way. I like to add it to particles. It leeches out and into the bottom in the surrounding area, and stays there. Salty sweetcorn, salty hemp, salty parti blend, anything. It really does not need to be any fancy salt, any old sodium will do. In a 15kg bucket of drained particle, 500g - 1kg is plenty. Then let it stew for a couple of days. It really helps them, they 100% know it too. You just have to use it at the correct time to get the best from it. Use it wisely and it's an incredible way of getting the carp to do what you want them to do.

In reply to Post #66 I fished his lake a few years ago now before the system changed
I was 1 swim away when his perfect zip linear come out on the lawns.
He came up to see me and said it's out do you want to see it.
Gutted as I wanted to fish the lawns and because I was staying in one of the lodges could have moved my marker to anywhere free on the lake but I didn't know lol and he was away fishing.
So near yet so far!!
Top bloke though.

In reply to Post #65 That's Saddleback. That or the DDAP's fish (most likely) will break the British record for real.
Tony has just given his Dinton ticket up last week. Plenty will be happy to move up the list. He only did six nights total in the last few years. Caught some incredible fish though.

Top one is Dinton Black Swan. Bottom one is from your area. Same place as this one. Roach Pit. This one is still alive and much bigger (was couple years back). The bottom one in the post you refer to is gone.

In reply to Post #51 Hello mate. They are the same sweet thing inside. They are an S2. What you are picking up on is something harsh on the surface to your taste buds, but it's a very important part of their makeup. The Fizz S2 and a couple of the others have the same harsh initial back notes. Quite a few of the new special edition S2 have a very different taste to your senses than the original S2 in the tub. They contain many new ingredients that the original S2 never had. But put them in the water for twenty minutes, it's a Sugars2 in essence.
They are working so well. This is a forum member Eddie yesterday morning. He has been doing rather well on the Curry. This weekend just gone it was the Tutti. This was his first trip with them. He only got them earlier in the week. Well done Ed.
We are getting bombarded with messages saying the same thing regarding the Tutti. Get out there & use them.
|
|
|

Hi Mark,
Bought some Tutti's from Fishon tackle and they arrived today, they smell beautiful, as expected, but they don't taste sweet like S2's, they seem quite harsh. Is this normal?
Cheers Chris

In reply to Post #46 There has been a rather large change of plans regarding a new website. Chances are our website will now go all together later in 2026, after which time we would only sell through the shops. As our customer base has grown so fast, so much of my time is now spent talking to new customers, or dealing with deliveries. Time that should be solely spent producing lots more hook baits.
Our new web designer has been asked if it is possible to add all of the new baits to our existing website for now. That's no problem. Unfortunately I need another operation towards the end of the month, which again to have it done in a timely manor like last April, has to be done abroad. As soon as I am back at the end of Feb the new baits will get added to the website.
I was always very reluctant for our stuff to go into the shops... That was always a very big mistake on my part. There is no better way to let carp anglers actually look at the stuff. Our product is expensive.... So it's much better for anglers to actually see the product on the shelf alongside everything else with their own eyes before purchasing....As is being proved now. After that, the results the hook baits bring sells them going forwards. But that initial viewing of the product is clearly very important. We are about to undergo another very large expansion. The place we moved into last year, is already far to small for what we need now. We outgrew it already. So everything is changing at such a rapid rate, plans are now having to change with it.
The new products will all be on our website by the end of the month. Later in 2026 our website is likely going to go altogether now. After which, our whole range would always be available in the shops. It will allow us to take on another shop too (Yateley Angling), which was always the plan. By selling through the best tackle shops in the UK, with the best customer service, it should all be good for both us & our loyal customers. All three shops will have loads more of the new stuff next week. TackleBox have ordered the CarpForum Whisky S2.
Young lad who works in the TackleBox who only just started using our stuff. Self explanatory. Well done Harry.

In reply to Post #42 It's crazy how fast they are all selling them Andy. What's even more crazy is the feedback that is coming back through the shops, regarding what their customers are catching. It's all good.

In reply to Post #5 Quote... Hi mark any tutti left fella??
Loads, I've been writing on lids just now. That's just what is ready today, a tiny fraction of what we have ready for the shops. We will have everything, all of the time now going forwards. The three shops are all now getting stock at an identical time this time. It's unfair to give one of them the new stuff, while the other two wait.
Anyone who ordered via special orders, they went today, not yesterday. You should expect delivery tomorrow. Every single special order was a forum member or watcher that went out today. From the smallest order of one tub, to the largest order of ten tubs, every single person got given at least one free £23 tub today. Along with Wayne, Lee (808) & Baitman's stuff I likely gave away a grands worth of stuff to forum members for absolutely free today. Can't keep doing that going forwards... It was a great week on the gee gees.
You are all so welcome xx

In reply to Post #2 Hi Jeff. We made a small batch (below) of both the Tutti S2 & Whiskey S2 early in December just for the forum before I went away. Unfortunately they all sold out very quickly. FishOn, Johnson Ross & the Tackle Box will all have the Tutti S2 in stock next week. Along with the Curry S2 & their individual shop exclusives.
If you want them direct from us, send a WhatsApp message to our work mobile midweek. Start the message with your full name, followed by what you require exactly, Please be clear about size & variation, pop up or balanced. You will be told what to order from our website to cover them.
We are having a new website go live at the end of the month. All of the new hook baits will be on there.
