Battery life is as good as anything else out there in my opinion. At least 6 months from the receiver and it gives you plenty of warning as they start going. Battery life in the heads is at least a year. The bivvy light is the one that uses the most juice, but only if you actually use it as a light source for reading/cooking etc. if you just use it to find your boots when you get a bite, you’ll get 4-6 months out of a set of Duracell or Energizers.
SKS2’s are a cracking alarm set.

I use Duracell and get at least 6 months, if you can spend a little more the Gizmo 2 have 3 batteries and last quite a bit longer, the bivvy light is rechargeable.

If you do go with the SKS2 take the batteries out of the sounder box and bivvy light when not in use, I found the batteries would discharge a bit even when turned off.
But I don’t have the same issue with the Gizmo 2

I have had these for about 18 months now. I have been getting around 4 months out of mine using for 24hrs a week that's just using cheap amazon batteries. I have actually just decided to give the lithium ones a go to see how they fair, but being just standard 3aaa's I always just keep a spare set on me as they fit my head torch as well anyway. Think they are amazing alarms for the money really that's after using delkims for years, I could have any alarms I want but these do everything I need.

Hi,

Managed to fall in the lake recently (a December dip is not reccomended ) and had my receiver in my pocket which didn't survive the water ingress, so I am looking at the Sonik SKS2 alarms as a replacement.
I cant get another receiver as the old alarms are discontinued.

Can any owners provide feedback on what the battery life is like when using decent AAA batteries.

Thanks very much

Cheers
Neil.
