In reply to Post #9 Just read an advert on AD they have long been discontinued but the external measurement is 22.3mm
Or very close to 7/8 in old money

In reply to Post #1 I used to have the Chub barrow where the front wheel supports swung back under the frame. It gathered dust for years so I sold it, as I didn't see the need in 2 barrows and to be totally honest I regret that decision.
If it doesn't have to be a Carp type have you looked at the match trolleys, they break down to nothing. I have the Preston Shuttle, but if I was buying now it'd probably be the Daiwa fold and go as it folds down without breaking apart. If you're going Porterlite type route might be worth having a look at the Westlake Kougar from Go Outdoors, £59, not sure how it breaks down though.
For posterity

In reply to Post #6 I moved on my +10 year old portalite and replaced with the trakker xtrail T1 barrow earlier this year and have been well pleased.
The trakker is literally half the weight of the porta(not so)lite, it closes up at the front very tight so is also perfect for day sessions with very light kit and a small chair. The bag is good and doesn't rub, i have a small car (ID3) and i can still get the trakker barrow in the car with just the handles off it. As its so light i don't even need to empty the crap in the underbag, which is a bonus.
The portalite that i passed onto a mate, even had their straight handles and tbh, i've not really noticed any difference.

In reply to Post #7 I could do with sourcing some - the bent ones are weird especially if your tall . . .barrow for life however! (just seen some - £29 on JR)

In reply to Post #6 Take the bags of the Porter lite and sit the chair on it first and there’s your base 👍👍
Straight handles really make a difference

Mmm, thanks I'd forgotten about the porterlite. I wonder if I remove all the bars and bags off my Fatboy it'd be close.
Only needs to push a bag, rods and a chair

In reply to Post #1 I still use my Porterlite for days - handles and wheel pop off easily. Don't even lower the rear seats of my SUV to fit it in and most of the time I leave the wheel on as well . . .

In reply to Post #1 Mines the Chub
Pretty sure they dont do them anymore (i had to look for a long while)
folds up nice enough and can still manage a good load of gear while still going in the back of my car

In the old days a few brands used to do barrows that folded, very useful for getting in the boot and using for day trips.
Anyone know who still does them? From memory it was Chub and Fox who used to do them.
Cheers
