Very interesting Nick, thank you I still have a pot of the original Mulberry appetite stimulator, I used to love shaking it and saying to the Mrs smell that on opening the pot I use it sparingly on maggots nowadays.

Funny you say that Nick. A few years ago I bought some random vape juice. It was scopex. 100% scopex as it was in the 80s and early 90s. A smell that took me back in a way that no derivative scopex product has managed.

I ran out of my supply of the originals this year.. incredible flavour that i havn’t found a replacement for.. iv seen Stickys neat version and that ones very good but you can’t get hold of it.. the problem with the old hutchy bits is alot came from different places many flavour houses will tell you they made the same flavour the last one said they also made. Im not saying they are lying i believe they all did..( i say many, most have gone or changed hands or dont supply small bait firms because they’re making vape juice flavours haha) .. iv seen ‘the alchemist’ is due to release one which by all accounts should be exceptional, but i havn't seen it in person and so in turn havnt given it a go myself.. I'm just going on the other bits that flavour house has produced (quite honestly outstanding)
Good luck on the forage for mulberry 😂

Got the flavour yesterday smells really potent and fresh. Looking forward to making some cork balls with it at weekend. Think I’m going to mix with a little scopex and some Cinammon leaf E.O along with a couple of powders and do them in white

is that right though? Reason I'm querying, it says D Cooke have been registered on companies house as RHT&B and doing accounts since 2016...it wasn't that long ago that the Italian interest was there was it....I could be completely wrong, and losing a sense of time, but 9 years ago?

If so..where does the time go!

The RH brand isn't owned anymore by the Italian company, if I well remember the brand is owned by an uk company nowadays.

Last year I use the RH mulberry florentine into a liver mix and did very well.

I put up a liver mix flavoured with spices, fished through the sammer without any action on this bait, in September I swapped the spices with the remains of a bottle of mulberry florentine I bought few years before 7/8 if I well remember, the green ones bottle.

The first carp I had with this bait was one of the lake's sought after, caught the last September's weekend, the very next session I had two common and the week after I lost one at the net. Lost another one at the beginning of November, than winter comes and haven't saw a carp's fin up to next April.

This year I had a red letter session catching 2 really big carp (which one my pb common, a carp I saw a lot of time swimming happily but never caught) with the hard hookbait I made the year before with the flavour, the free offering were another bait, cause I've finished the one I did. 3 weeks after I smashed the common pb with another sought-after fish with a double 24 mms, one of them was the hard hookbait.

No need to say that this year I search to buy another bottle of the flavour.

Obviously I don't know if the results I had was because of the flavour or simply the hookbait placed on the right bottom at the right time, who knows but we like to think that the chemistry play a part so, why not?

I guess we're stuck in our ways, if you've had success you want to use the product as it was, if that's still possible. The one thing I don't like, things becomming unavailable, even if you make your own, at some point something will need replacing due to unavailability or new laws...maybe we should just stick to 50/50 boilies

I’ve just bought a bottle of the RH stuff to try. It’s the clear bottle one with the green label. Will the carp really be able to tell the difference ? I’m not so sure but I’m going to find out aren’t I 😂

Marcus Watts of Mirage baits. Bottles Sense appeal for The Rod Hutchinson brand.

I believe Catchit labs sell there own version of Sense appeal. The fella that runs it used to be a Chemist for Nash bait.

If you listen to Marcus Watts podcast on Carp Chronicles he mixes the flavours for the new Italian RH owners.

Maybe a message to him about the flavour?

I have some of the original powdered palatant, use it on maggots nowadays.

Think dynamite baits did the flavours under licence from RH. Then I think an Italian company owned the flavour after. The orginal was in a glass bottle and if spilled on stuff could rot fabric. Back in early 90s mixed it with honey for a fantastic dip.

Long shot as in I don't think many people use the flavour, but I could be wrong, certainly historically it was popular ish, and there's some old codgers about

Can anyone recommend a good Mulberry Florentine flavour, like the old RH one or better?
Is the reincarnate flavour any good?
I had my eye on some, black reactangular bottle, company that's stopped in the U.K...can I remember the name
Or do I default to Forgotten Flavours, advice much appreciated
