Dave Ankers, that's a blast from the past in no uncertain terms!
I am having a fantastic year both in terms of numbers and size of fish, keep having to pinch myself!

Ay up duck.
Hope you are OK, I was at the Wheelock AGM on Tuesday and a few of us "old feckers" where having a rattle, Dave Ankers and a few from crabmill days and you were mentioned , I was on about Premier Baits and the Oyster powder.
I'm not going that far south
Andyman I can sleep anywhere (but upright sat in my car I can't)
I'll sleep on a sofa on the boat

Will possibly be your best chance of a sleep, they don't have cabins on that route so it's either general seating out with everyone else and the potential noise or the peace of the lounge

I've seen this, I however intend on getting some sleep as I've got a 4 hours trip to my hotel in the evening

Last time I crossed with DFDS i paid about £16 for lounge access on the boat, well worth it if available. Very quiet separate room, big comfy chairs, drinks and snacks included

Travelling down from Cheshire @4am, I'm thinking of catching the Dover Dunkirk crossing.
The advantage is I can have a kip on the boat for an hour and a half.
I'm going to come back on the train as its normally slicker.
I've not gone via Dunkirk since "foot and mouth" in the early 2000.
Any info on reliability, comfort etc would be appreciated.
