Smurf, my memory keeps firing off every now and then, Didn't Bill at one time like Rollin Baits, I'm wondering if so why he didn't go that route, pm me if needed?...just curiosity t see if I'm right.

I seem to remember more about that. ie, the closeness of the businesses, but I could be completely wrong, it's been a long time.

Possibly the 'hate' could be linked to the fact they are now formally tied up with Capital UK Holdings which is who owns Capital Carp Competitions. There is a love/hate thing with CCC linked to the love/hate for Mark Pitchers who is now the Marketing Director for RG Baits as well as one of the two owners of CUKH/CCC.

I have never seen an RG bait and certainly never used them but if Big Bill has faith in them I am sure they can't be too bad.

URGENT HELP NEEDED

This winter hundreds of sponsored anglers will be without bait at this critical point. We urgently need your support.
Anglers like Julian who have had their lives ruined by the Nashbait collapse- with flaked monster shrimp not getting through - just a pot of pop ups could help keep him keep hauling doubles out of the local village pond. Purchasing 5kg of sticky could help Alan hunt down more urban monsters.

Donate now - and ensure this Christmas that anglers up and down the land continue to get free bait so that social media is awash with heart warming tales of how the new brand has always been something they have admired and help realise their dreams.

And yes I know good people lost their jobs and that is very sad - I just don’t know if I can keep facing the unveiling of these anglers on Facebook choosing the next brand with such scripted tosh. I used to get free bait from X in exchange for coverage - I now get free bait from Y.

RG baits are great. Steve is a really lovely guy having met him on occasions. No idea why he's getting a hard time. Of course he's going to get a bait deal and of course he'll have to announce it.

Same as Gary Atkin going to Sticky and same as others from the Nash Bait stable getting new deals. All the best to them.

What's with the hate for RG? Genuine question as I was contemplating switching to them next season.

Not at all odd either when you know why he's not using Nutrabaits anymore. Plenty of information on why, here and on the internet.

Not all that odd when you consider that Bill Cotham has been using RG baits for years and with Nashbait now gone Steve had to hang is hat with someone.

Seems odd to see the ex Nutrabaits owner as one of their team, I guess he doesn’t believe in the current Nutrabaits offering?
