Me at the end of April , but Newhaven is a step back in time which I find great , but will have to update their squeaky wire gates to accommodate this system

Newhaven is the back door of England Nick..! I expect Dieppe will have it, they didn't in November but I'm sure over the winter they will.

No major delays flying with the new system for me so far..

I wonder if Newhaven will have it. Travelling in April but that place is like going back in time to the 1950s with their two little wooden border force sheds

It is a 1 off, lasts 3 years apparently.

Enjoy your trip, sounds like a very efficient EES there

I've just arrived in Iceland who are in the Schengen area for 4 nights.
They implemented this new scheme on arrival.
I don't know how many a 737 plane holds but almost everyone had to register.
We were told that it was a one off process and so we were prepared for a long delay
We needn't have worried, the Icelandic's were very efficient, loads of staff at passport control, it took no more than 2 minutes max per person.
The Icelandic's come across as a nice bunch and as they rely on tourism it makes sense that they don't want to piss anyone off.
Whether other countries will be the same remains to be seen, but I'm all done now so it won't be me finding out.

apparently they got stuck the wee k before for about three hours

Adding that onto your journey when travelling for oop north will make it even more of a grueler than it already is. I wonder if there's a option to do it somewhere other than when you travel for that 1st time, would cut out the waiting....hmm

Took six of us about forty minutes, finger prints , photos , gonna be carnage next year when it's busy . At least it'll stop the boats tho

Yes, all the Shengen area. I think all countries have the power to roll out EE at their own pace from 12/10/25 but it must be in place fully by 10/04/26.
Flying = check at destination, Ferry = check U.K

Would this be in Italy as well?
I went out last week and got back this week...no delays at the airport...but Bari is a small airport so maybe it's always fairly smooth running

Is Op Brock going to be in operation? If not, I suspect that Juxt controls will have different timings compared to airports.

For those thinking or having a trip to Europe next year fishing/holiday have a read up on EES (European Entry/Exit system).
Launching this weekend but full roll out to follow, taking around 1 to 2 minutes per person, delays at channel ports and Euro Tunnel are being envisaged
