Take them back to the shop, or contact shimano, shouldn't be happening.

Evening

I have a set of the ultegra 14000 xte and the line clips on them seem to be damaging the line. Are you able to get a softer clip ? I have got upgraded line clips for my daiwas in previous but can't seem to find any for shimano
