In reply to Post #5 +1 on the fantail. It's an excellent pod. I'm a big fan of the spacing it gives me between my rods. You customise it to be the same footprint as a traditional goalpost, but I normally just leave it on the widest config.
Plus being titanium it's all but bombproof while still being impressively light

In reply to Post #4 Here you go - being inserted into a concrete path, using a proper ratchet (A Tommy Bar could not possible cope with such torque, top would sheer clean off!)

In reply to Post #21 Ahh ok, the digging stick.
If only the Ti auger point banksticks had one.
In my opinion, the Xcavator wins, a bankswith a Tommy bar.

In reply to Post #20 There are pics on the website buddy - under 'Accessories' you'll see the 'Defiant Digging Stick'. The tommy bar is stored in the main shaft of the stick.

In reply to Post #17 Any pics Yonny? There's no Tommy bar on the website.
If they do I might well be ordering some.

In reply to Post #1 +1 for Jag Excavator - tommy bar and palm saver (with spirit level) makes life easy and accurate. Augers are sharp - I use rubber walking stick ends (available on Amazon) to protect them in transit as they can shred luggage if not careful . .

In reply to Post #16 The MPS one does come with a tommy bar

Defiant are lovely but not as good in use as the Xcavators.
There's no Tommy bar with the Defiant stick so actually screwing into anything isn't the easiest to do.

JAG Excavator.
I was so impressed with the korda distance stick augers that I got a complete set of excavators. They aren't cheap but they go into anything with ease!

In reply to Post #1 JAG Excavator are the best that I have used. Nothing else comes close (including their digging stick).

In reply to Post #10 Hi mate if you pm me your number I can WhatsApp you pictures. I can't work out how to post them on here. Just collected the banksticks they are superb and look very robust whilst being incredibly light. You can tell they are handmade which I really like too. I can see myself ordering some longer ones in future.

Defiant MPS total titanium with auger points are the ones, i got a set for using on the River this year lightweight, will last forever and screw easily into rock hard baked ground.

In reply to Post #9 That would be great if you could.

In reply to Post #1 Or you could invest in the Defiant pod that fans your rods out, forgot what it's called but I'm sure it will be on their website.

In reply to Post #2 I've got a cygnet digging stick which works well enough for me. Jag do one as well (obviously more expensive) and MPS Defiant do auger points that could screw into concrete (so I've heard). A few options for you to look at

Hi everyone.
Any recommendations for banksticks for hard ground??
Normally use a pod but having 3 lines close together i have
been having issues with drifting weed knotting the lines
together.
So looking to space the rods on single sticks to keep them
apart.
Any thoughts??
