Why not buy from a boilie company instead of factory-made ones? In my opinion, those boilies are much better quality.
In Belgium/the Netherlands, we have good ones which I can recommend 100% like:
- Triton baits (I use them myself)
- Attractive baits
-Evolution products
- Pioneer baits
- The boilie factory
- Born to Fish
These all use high-quality ingredients and have a quality over quantity mentality, Some even use only completely natural raw materials and without flavours (Triton baits and Attractive baits).
Aren't there no good small boilie companies in Germany?
I also bought some boilies at Decathlon, yes you can catch on them but they smell very chemical

Do you have a Declathon near you?
That would be the easiest way of buying bait and know its stocked constantly

Cant thank you enough for all your good advise here!
So it seems there are clear favourites also matching what has been said in other posts in the forum.
Mainline Cell
CC Moore Live System
Sticky Krill or Manilla
All about in the same price league here (10-11 Euros per kilo when you buy 5kg packages), so thats good :-).
DNA albeit still not available but will watch their website. I need a bait that is consistently available though.
Baitworks albeit not available.
Will for sure give one of the top three a try. Tending towards Mainline Cell as it has been around for a long time here as well.
Will compare it to my current good quality bait made in Germany and see what my impressions are.
Have a nice season!

In reply to Post #1 Can Sticky Baits or Angling Direct post out to Germany?
If I was to use one bait with as much chance of catching on short or long sessions it would be their Active range (krill or manilla - or mixed depending on time of year), as the outter layer melts and is a superb attractant.
The other bait I would look at if it can be shipped is Baitworks Creamino, as the softness of the bait, including their shelf lifes is superb (if you like a soft bait).
And if you can order Baitworks, then some of their Scent from hell hook baits would be a must for me in the order as singles, if I wasn't matching the hatch. In the main I only fish bottom baits and match the hatch, but Scent from Hell has caught me fish at tricky times.

In reply to Post #10 Rather than trying to flog you DNA, personally I've had success on a few of the ones you mention, though Cell was probably the most successful for me.
My recommendation of DNA is through use, no different to your personal experience, I'm sure you're not trying to flog Cell either. I have no association with DNA and I was simply trying to point out there might be a alternative to some of the baits which I would consider not to be as good from a food bait perspective, times have moved on. I've used S7 since launch, not moved on as I don't see the need to.
I like to help people in general, so if I go a bit further off my own back, and in my own time, I see that as a positive, nothing I can do about suspicious minds, sign of the times.

In reply to Post #1 Out of that list, id go cell, 100%
I was an avid ccmoore user for a long time but after they stopped doing the two things that I actually used, I moved onto live system. I caught quite a few on it but it was ao inconsistent that I eventually gave up. I remember in one 50kg order, I had 10 kilo thay were rock hard and 10 that were far too soft, so soft that the bottom few inches were flat in the bag

Nostalgia would make me choose Richworth Tutti's though, assuming it's the same as the old stuff they used to make.
Tip for using them, that I found out by chance (or lack of organisation - they ended up in the sun by accident), but has banked me some better fish, buy freezer, leave some out in the sun until they go sticky (I assume it's the sugars leaking out as the frozen baits thaw). This seem to not only catch me more fish but also some sought after ones too.
Haven't used them in years, as stick to one company nowadays, but can't knock either of the above.

In reply to Post #1 Why not go for imperial baits?

In reply to Post #5 I have noticed the responses, but to be totally honest, I don't always have the time to check on the website before recommending places for people enquiring. I did ring DNA to check freezer bait status for the EU site last week when someone enquired.
Maybe Jason could post up when shelfie stocks are expected in the EU, if at all.

In reply to Post #4 The last few times I've checked DNA euro site everything has been out of stock, others have mentioned the same

In reply to Post #3 I'd certainly add DNA to your list, they have a European website with BAF Int, not sure on stock levels though.

In reply to Post #1 Ive caught well on source, live system and cell all are proven baits and cant really go wrong with any of them. For year round use I would use cell or live system both are sweeter baits and fish all the way through winter

Hello, as the best UK baits are not available in Germany anymore I am looking for the best alternatives that are readily available.
I am only fishing local gravel pits and parc lakes so I need a bait I can totally and 100% rely on to be effective anytime, all year, anywhere. A bait that has been a proven fish catcher and where I know its not the baits fault if I am not catching :-).
Browsing through this forum I have narrowed it down to:
Mainline Cell
CC Moore Live System
CC Moore Odyssey XXX
Mainline Link
Dynamite The Source
DT Green Beast (sometimes available)
Mistral Rosehip
Richworth Tutti Frutti (dont laugh ;-)...)
All of these have been around for a long time so I guess they cant be that bad.
Which ones do you have experience with?
Which one do you trust and would you use yourself under the circumstances I mentioned above?
Thank you for your advise!
