Well first weekend in the Hide XL pro and cannot complain. Even in a thunderstorm it was perfect. Put it up in seconds and packed down in seconds too. Condensation wasn't great but there isn't a single skinned biv on the market that can stop that, the vapourshield did it's job though. Enough room for my wide bedchair and chair. Very impressed for £220. All in all a pretty perfect weekend with a pair of mirrors on the zigs at 26 and 31lb.

In reply to Post #19 Thing is if the doorway was higher it wouldn't offer as much protection from the weather. Well unless you're the sort that has the door zipped up, which I'm not.

I have the hide xl pro, its great when inside but imo a bad design with the door entrance so low compared to the actual full height, I'm only 5'8 but longer sessions using it my back is in bits

In reply to Post #15 I’m 5’7”, and manage to put it up, although the first time I tried I struggled with the height, but you soon work around it. I’d have to say it really is the best bivvy I’ve had……… and I’ve had a few

In reply to Post #15 I can only dream of being as tall as 5' 8" and still find putting up the XL easy.

In reply to Post #15 Yes their very easy to fan out

In reply to Post #14 I had a look at one in angling direct today. Got to say it looks fooking massive! Ok foot print not massive compared to some just looks really big, anyone got one who's slightly vertically challenged at 5'8" and can confirm it's easy enough to fan out? That was my only concern really.

In reply to Post #10 I bought one a couple of weeks ago from TFT, it has the internal vapour shield which I guess is intended to give same benefit as the skill cap. Really good value at that price especially given the cost of many new bivvies these days.
For me it gives a good balance of size vs. space. With bedchair pushed to back (Trakker RLX) there is easily room for a chair still and luggage etc. Only niggle for me is no clear front door option only mozi or solid green. So big enough for a longer session but not too big for an overnight.
It's light, quick to put up and packs down pretty small.

In reply to Post #7 Ye but an extra £200 without the infil just for the camo doesn’t make much sense to me.

Actually says it’s in stock now so looks likely ill get it.
Anyone wanna buy a mint condition t1 camo pro? 😂

Thanks for the input all. I pulled the trigger on the hide XL pro from TFT with infil for £220. Bargain. It does say it’s out of stock but when click into it, it says 10 in stock and you can still purchase it. If I don’t get it then it is what it is but for £220, that’s a steal.

They did have the XL pro and infill panel for £220 yesterday on total Tuesdays but sold out

In reply to Post #7 Just had a look on TFT and its still for sale and the code works makes it £199

In reply to Post #6 Good deal on the green XL £249.99

In reply to Post #6 Out of stock already.
I personally think the camo one is much nicer. If that comes up then I’ll buy another to freshen up….sell my used one
Honestly had the T2 Camo before and it was too big really and heavy and the T1 isn’t really that much less heavy overall so think the Hide XL is perfect

I'm contemplating the hide XL pro currently. I nearly bought it today and I thought I'll need a skull cap too and couldn't find one. Bizarre why they don't make one surely!

In reply to Post #3 Can definitely agree with you, happy to do a night or a week in mine.
Only thing missing is a skull cap, can't fathom why Nash didn't do one

In reply to Post #2 Whilst I agree with this I have owned both and think the Camo XL Hide is the perfect size and have used it for France 7-10 day sessions.
It’s much less bulky to put in the car which is a bonus.
Horses for courses I guess but love my Camo XL

In reply to Post #1 If you take out the inner dome of the T1 pro it only weighs 3kg more than Hide XL pro. In return with the Hide you lose 20cm headroom height, 20cm depth and almost 30cm width in space.
Makes no sense to me especially if as you say you like your space inside
|
|
|
Anyone have experience with both? I'm considering getting rid of my t1 camo pro. Just too heavy to lug around even on a barrow but the loss of the inner capsule is 100% a downside (I hate rats with a passion and that was the main reason I went for it) Was considering a hide xl camo pro and biting the bullet and keeping my bait away from the biv just wondering what the space is like inside. I like my comforts on the bank so have a wide dura dore and sp tech sofa chair.
