Thank you both for the replies. I'll try the kneading approach as I have the paste already. I appreciate it'll be a ball ache though. Ill get gold of the base etc and do It properly if the paste doesn't work out.

As Kells said kneed some alb in, this will help you.
But all this working from ready made paste is really not the one at all. For the best results you need to do this stuff from scratch, IE make the paste yourself.
Any ready made paste will have the basemix & liquids on sale. Start from scratch, add some blood plasma & albumen.

I'd say kneeding in some egg albumen to the paste would be your best bet. Or even some egg white should toughen the paste up a bit. Think you will need to experiment a little to behonest.

Hi folks,
I'm after some advice. I'd like to make some tough hookbaits from off the shelf boilie paste, different shapes/sizes etc. What I would like from them is to be ale to get a needle through them rather than drilling marbles. I appreciate air drying, salt or Glycerine would harden them but this may result in marbles? Just boiling for longer would probably destroy the paste too?
Could I knead trough egg albumen, whey gel or other to give a 'tough' hookbait (to be left out overnight) or is post boiling methods the only solution for premade paste?
