In reply to Post #1 Add another 9inch mate a look at the TH's Classics. Absoloutely cracking rod with a lovely action under the tip. Few bargains to be had if you look around.
Highly recommended

I'd keep an eye out for a second hand set of Century (Imagine NGs would fit your requirements) or Harrison (Accurix maybe) which you should get within your budget - I once picked up a set of 3 x NGs for £100 and have had a set of 3 x FBS sell for £220 locally in the last week.
If buying new then have a play with some of the FreeSpirit models in price range higher end Wychwood models and the usual Fox/Nash/etc. models in a shop and see what you prefer.

In reply to Post #6 Someone close by is selling a set of Nash x series 12ft 3.25tc rods for £150 for the 3 which seems a bargain but no idea if they are any good!

In reply to Post #1 If you want brand new the FS Helicals are superb at £100 a pop

In reply to Post #1 With that budget and requirements you have loads of options to choose from, especially if you are open to 2nd hand. Probably not enough for Harrison or Century but you can get some Free Spirit E class for that kind of price as well as ESP Terry Hearns. Greys Aircurves also come into that price bracket and I can highly recommend as I have a set of those.

Hi All,
I'm looking for some new 12ft rods maybe in the mid range with budget being upto£150 per rod, don't mind second hand. Max cast will be 30 wraps ( most of time fishing no more than 20-25) and something not too stiff which is still nice to play fish on.
Happy to buy second hand for the budget up to £400/500.
Any recommendations on what to be looking at in this price range?
Thanks
Baz
