Thanks Chris and Bob, I’m resigned to it now and just keeping my fingers crossed it doesn’t spread quickly, I have blood tests done every six months, was diagnosed in 2018 for various reasons, family history and getting up in the night🤦🏻‍♂️ anyway I had a biopsy, nasty experience to be honest but they found samples so put me on AS as my Gleason score was low-ish, it’s a lottery really as a lot of people die of old age before their prostate cancer does for them, I recommend people get at least tested for their psa and at least that way you’re ahead of the game, some poor people like Chris Hoy have a more aggressive form which is harder to treat once it gets out of the prostate, I think there is a lot more awareness and research going on now
Like you say Chris, money isn’t going to save you but I guess if you’re really worried and they find it you can go private, removal or radiotherapy both have their downsides… the joys of getting old!
Sorry to hear about your Dad as well, that’s pretty recent so hope you’re managing to cope with it, it’s a sad time when you lose a parent😢

I’m sorry to hear that Henry.

Lost my dad in February, stroke but he had been battling it for a while bless him. Treatments are good if diagnosed early and sadly it now seems to be coming to the forefront that a lot of it seems to be in our genes.

Cancer has took a lot of my family, the sad news, a while ago it said 1 in every 3 people may be affected by cancer at some point in their life, now they are saying 1 in 2 which is just mental

Prostate cancer👎 my Mum was part of a big family in Ireland with seven brothers, of the five that are still alive they all have it and have had various treatments, ie removal, radiotherapy, one uncle had it removed ten years ago and it has come back and just being managed, admittedly he is in his mid 80’s so not young, Eddie Jordan was 76 I think, I also have it but low level on active surveillance, it does kind of worry me that it’s a bit of a sleeping monster as so many men have it and have to almost beg to be tested, god only knows how the NHS will cope with the increasing numbers?
He did come across as genuine and a nice guy, sad story, RIP Eddie
