In reply to Post #19 Thanks Chris, nothing showing on their website at the mo but will keep an eye on it over the next week.

In reply to Post #18 I believe Wasing have opened their waiting list on Rowneys, which is a big pit south of Reading and a real challenge, if that's what you are after.....very few/no spaces on their other syndicates.

Bumping this up, guessing most/all tickets have been renewed now so there maybe a spot on a syndicate somewhere looking for a very nice man to join 🙂.
Or maybe for next year/season?
Let me know.
Cheers

In reply to Post #16 It does mate, but there are post code restrictions and I'm just a few miles too far away sadly. All the good ones are syndicates now too I believe.

In reply to Post #1 Not familiar with the options But Chichester area easily falls within your target distance
|
|
|
In reply to Post #13 Hightown, Northfield , Half pit and Rockford are your target waters on Ringwood ticket and Spinaker on the Christchurch ticket.
Kingfisher is shareholders only.
Roach Pit owned by Alan Cooper and a syndicate.
I know what you mean about Coking, it holds some cracking fish but, is a Circus.

Is Petersfield still open for dangling?

In reply to Post #12 That's a good call (not coking 😂 .
How many of the waters around ibsley/blashford are available on club tickets?
From what I can make out Ringwood and Christchurch have some. Are the bigger ones like mockbeggar, kingfisher and Ibsley on syndicate tickets or for birdwatchers.
I've already messaged Somerley, so might hear back from them in a few years.

In reply to Post #1 You could be at Coking Farm in Dorset if that is your type of thing, recently done a 50, lots of 30 and 40lb fish to go at or you have the Ringwood club waters.

In reply to Post #10 😂😂, may struggle for just days or quick over nighters 😂😀

In reply to Post #1 Northern France has gotta be doable surely?

In reply to Post #8 exactly, no fishing on the island but means you can't really see the lake other than the bit in front of you. I fished it years ago before they did all that backfill and liked it as a big wild water.

Thanks for the advice re Embryo, I'll keep an eye out.
Aspen looks a bit odd with such a large island in the middle, guessing as long as you can't fish from it everyone will be casting at it. Makes 32 swims in such a small space quite a lot too

|
|
In reply to Post #1 For future years it's definitely worth keeping an eye on the Embryo waiting lists, typically open in april/may. Just watch for updates on social media.
The only syndicate I've seen with spaces in the Cotswolds is Aspen lake, not one that interests me but seems you can get on fairly quickly.

In reply to Post #4 Going back a few years SCAC used to be a VERY cheap ticket for the waters they had. Definitely worth a look.

In reply to Post #4 3,000+ Farnham members nowdays. Cheap tickets and a lot of water to fish but it does get busy.
|
|
|
Thanks both,
I used to spend a fair bit of time on Farnham's waters as a member and when Cemex had them, but I ended up always fishing cut mill - stunning little place and away from the crowds, same on Reading and District ticket but never found somewhere peaceful.
Embryo lists are all closed, but this may not be what I'm after anyway.
Yeah Cotswolds hurts my head just looking at the amount of water to go from, I almost bought south cerney ticket years back, is that still a reasonable ticket to start with?
Fishing is mostly going to be dawn to dusk with the odd overnighter during summer/autumn weekends.

In reply to Post #1 Whelford pools, Orchid Lake,
There are the Embryo waters this way you could put your name down.
Abingdon and Oxford angling alliance have 2 lakes only daytime membership at the moment but if you join for the new season you should be able to get a night ticket for the following season.
Island Lake on the Theale Fishery website

In reply to Post #1 So much water in the cotswold water park.
Well worth a weekend drive up there, ask in local tackle shops in person , or phone or online for any cheap club tickets, or syndicate contact details - waiting list times etc.
Happy hunting & good luck

I spent 3 hours both ways (6 hours in total)in the car this weekend to fish somewhere up in Shropshire for 48 hours and blanked!
On the way home, it got me wondering what I've got within 90 mins of home. I went past exits for Oxford and Cotswold water park but other than Linear, I've never fished that way so know very little about them.
So where should I be looking at having a few road trips to this season that isn't like going to be a bit of a circus? It doesn't have to be full of massive fish or easy, just needs to the kind of place you want to keep going back to.
Anything left up the M3/A3 towards M25. Or along the A27, A31, A34, m4 etc?
I'd love to stumble across a syndicate with space, maybe if I'm lucky I will eventually.
Cheers
