In reply to Post #7 Bumping this up, wondering if anyone has an active code Amazon discount code I can use.
Gerry's link still works, so if it was good enough for him then it'll do for me ❤️

I have one of the Pure Move T4 radios, but never use it - which reminds me I really should take it out of my bag.
Instead I prefer to use a Bluetooth speaker and just stream audio from my phone, mostly Global Player or Apple Music but I do have another radio app which will play pretty much anything broadcast from around the world.
The speaker I use is a JBL flip 5 - its small but big enough to sound pretty good, but keep the volume down so it's only just audible to me sitting in our just outside the front of my bivvy, but I find the audio quality so much better than a small radio, plus the flexibility to stream anything to it including films from my iPad.
Admittedly I have an unlimited data tariff for my phone so data isn't an issue but might be a consideration for others that aren't on an unlimited data tarriff - but a much better setup than a simple radio

In reply to Post #51 I will keep it,thought might be fetching bit more than that

I might put my pure move radio in classifieds, what roughly are they worth. It is the T4 version
In reply to Post #46 What's the length of time between charges? That's what I miss with the pure move, 35hrs of play and no battery drain when not being used unlike the August radio
I lost my Pure Move on a recent session, it had been faultless but I cannot find it for the life of me so reckon I left it at the lake, (I usually listen to the radio whilst packing up and leave it in the swim somewhere) or it has dropped out of the car as I have been putting gear in and out.
I went for the i-box barrel one Gerry recommended, very impressed. Sound quality is much better than the Move.

In reply to Post #44 Post 7, Gerry linky pood it, still active link

In reply to Post #43 The round one in the picture recommended by Gerry sorry no idea what it was called as in the van!

In reply to Post #41 What radio are you talking about..

Must have had my Pure Move for 10 years now? Still going strong.

In reply to Post #38 I mostly fish days only so radio last about 15-20 hours I reckon but can always top up if needed. Splahproof, neat and really easy to use. I’ve had loads of dabs and this is by far the best, roberts pocket ones, pure move where the rechargeable battery pack lasted less than 6 months. I love it’s simplicity, presets, size, sound and volume controls. The only thing I would change is some of the scores they announce for my team, surely that is wrong…

In reply to Post #37 Anything old geezer recommend was was worth a punt , god rest his soul

In reply to Post #38 I didn’t think the battery life was great and the charging point broke on mine after a couple of months. It was ok for what it cost but would rather spend more on a better radio.
In reply to Post #37 What's the battery life, used to own a pure move till it fell to pieces, my favourite radio ever. The August dab radio bought under recommendation from here has poor battery life and loses charge even if not being used
I also went with Gerry’s and took this as last weekend sat there and thought of him whilst it was on, battery life is good between charges, simple pre sets I love it
In reply to Post #35 I bought same after the recommendation, cannot fault it

I bought the barrel one that Gerry recommended. So far so good, and I really like it.

In reply to Post #26 Gerry got one of the barrel ones for French trip, tried at home worked perfectly but when i tried to listen to the football today in France on the AM channel it was limited however all was not lost as I blue toothed an app from the phone and hey presto 5 live coming through perfectly 👍🏻 football result was not so good 👎🏻 good bit of kit but limited abroad but the wife will get plenty of use listening to it in the garden

In reply to Post #1 Had one of these for ages - hasn't self destructed yet! Does need sporadic mid session charging with a power pack but sound is good for LBC / Talksport / Rad 4 (dont listen to music when fishing)

In reply to Post #12 Im in the same position with the Move BUT also with the Tempus -1 as well
Im using a Bush Hampton as a replacement for the Move but as its larger than the Move it wont fit into my ESP case
Planet Rock is good but those damn Kevin Bacon EE voiceovers are incessant.
I use a Sony one very similar to the one in Old Gezzers photo, and i find it perfect, battery life is good, reception is fine and i get all the stations i like listening to which 90% of the time is talk sport or talk sport 2

In reply to Post #27 the next thing you know there's an almighty virtual fisticuff
And your either sat in the back of Ronnie Pickering's picasso backing him up, or standing proud and starting a thred about socks.

In reply to Post #26 That's the internet for you.
Sometimes you say something, you know what you mean but to others they may read it slightly differently.
Not in this case but the next thing you know there's an almighty virtual fisticuff

In reply to Post #23 Daz I really am sorry you feel that way ? ( I didnt know radio x was on both sorry)
I didn't think it was personal ? I simply wanted to point out the pro`s and Cons as its important to know the full facts when spending your hard earned
I TRY not to recommend anything that I dont have personal knowledge of and spend hours researching stuff and finding the best prices etc to help people
these are just 4 DAB radios I still have left
I got 2 or 3 other small non dab radios in my shed and have owned other DAB radios and given them away
and I think the little barrel radio is the best of the bunch

I've got a pure move t4,I hardly use it as the battery seems terrible on it.
In reply to Post #21 I managed to find a genuine battery for mine so it's been bought back from the dead. Will be gutted when that dies
In reply to Post #18 Why do you always take things so personal, you had radio X on your list as not available, I merely pointed out that it is, that might be a deciding factor for someone, like it would me, so now he has more accurate info. We're all just trying to help each other after all, it's not a competition.

Why they stopped making the pure move 400 is beyond me

In reply to Post #20 My pure move is on its last legs now.
Had it many year.

In reply to Post #17 I only listen to Planet Rock. Sometimes Talksport but not often.
On my second Pure Move as the first one ended up in the river! Casting a barbel rod, hooklength actually caught the nipple on the ariel!

Nice one Old Geeza....love your links to stuff!
In reply to Post #17 Well thats great for you then but not everyone is like you a one station man
so its VERY important when you recommend something you point out the good points (battery life)
BUT point out the massive Bad points too as someone that for instance like me that likes talkSPORT2 and boom radio etc would be pretty pissed of buying a pue move and finding you cant listen to is as its not on there
In reply to Post #15 I only listen to radio x and that's on my pure move.
Daz

In reply to Post #15 Get Talk Sport, 5SX, Greatest Hits, and 80s, does me.
Got a Majority waiting in the background for when the Pure gives in.
Quite simply the best bit if kit I've bought in the past 20 year's.

In reply to Post #12 I shall be ordering one of these, i have a big old 30,000ma power bank so it will be perfect, thanks again for great advice
In reply to Post #10 I have owned and loved a Pure Move since it first came out
right up UNTIL DAB bought out DAB PLUS !!!!!!!!!!!!! then most of the stations I listen too moved to it and the Pure move cant pick them up anymore
making the Move useless to me sadly
IMHO
THIS IS THE WAY FORWARD

In reply to Post #1 I've got this model, tiny, good enough for fishing, the battery will last long enough to lull you to sleep and for about 10 hours (guesstimate).
