For anyone looking for a bargain, may I recommend the ESP Onyx Landing Net. Buy the 6ft pole & 42’ head with spreaderblock separately and the whole net come in at £123. You can probably find it cheaper on the web.
All the hype about the Korda net - I’ve used both side by side and there’s hardly any difference. Both nets are super stiff and bolt poles float. I prefer the Onyx to the Hearn net - don’t need or like a super deep mesh and I defy anyone to tell much difference between a 44’ net and a 42’.
I’ve used an MCF net for probably 20yrs and the ESP one is so much lighter & stiffer. Will it be as bulletproof? Probably not, but I’ve been using mine for a year and seems very robust so far.
