This is a great post for me as I’m looking at a new chair
I do suffer with a bad back and sometimes I like to sit upright

The solar chair looks great for me

RLX bedchair seat.

Don't be fooled into buying it, I had no idea a seat could be so uncomfortable. If I wasn't so lazy I would be sending it back.

I've had both and didn't like either, sold the solar without it even seeing the bank. Of the 2 I thought the trakker was better but both were too reclined in their highest position for me. I'm going to sell the trakker and looking at the carp spirit magnum deluxe

We obviously have a different idea about what is light and compact when it comes to fishing, but that’s ok.

The solar low chair is really light and compact. I use mine for everything from a few hours to 48hrs.

Exactly this mate. Weighs nothing and folds up flat so no problem getting it around. More than enough for me for a couple of nights. Had mine a few years, just looked and it’s £70 now

I think Trakker recently released a new bed chair ‘buddy’ type chair.

I also have the Nano and it does me just fine. I bought the solar low chair for longer trips abroad but would never cart it around for one or two nights. The new sofa one looks even bigger, no wonder everyone wants a power barrow these days!

I sat in both and bought the Solar. It just felt stronger and better made. Although at 5ft 9” I probably should have got the low Solar chair

I recently purchased the Trakker chair that goes across your bedchair, and it's the most uncomfortable chair I've ever sat in. It's completely unusable. I'd hope their other chairs aren't the same.

I have the new Solar sofa chair, very comfortable and top quality build, as we are used to from Solar

It also feels lighter than you expect when you see it, some bedchairs are compacter when folded then the sofa chair 😀

I have the sp c tech low recliner and the sofachair both are superb but for comfort the sofachair is better. The sofachair is alot bigger than the recliner but still very lightweight.I had a trakker chair before the low recliner and its easily Solar over Trakker, the build quality and comfort are miles ahead of Trakker

I have the levellite long back - had it for a while now and surprisingly stood up to quite a bit of use. Only damage was an ember from a fire pit leaving a nasty hole on the front edge, but cant blame trakker for that even though I think most of the stuff trakker makes these days is pretty fragile (that's me being polite). It's pretty comfy and I can certainly fall asleep in it which is my measure of a good chair. I don't have any problems getting up out of it, mind you I went from one of the levelite converter chairs to use with a normal tempest brolly to the tempest 150 and the levelite long back for the same reason - getting too old to get up and down off the floor and bend over double just to get in and out of my bivvy.

Have to admit I like the look of the solar sofa chair - there's a review on carpology if you have a look.

Hi one and all I am a newbie to the site and I am enjoying the responses, knowledgable advise, playful banter and occasional gentle barbed comments.

I have decided to replace my current chair with one which is higher off the ground and has arms. My present chair is a Nash Indulgence but I find it to low as the legs when fully extended only raise the chair to 39cm. So after much searching and testing there are two chairs that appear ideal but I cannot decide which one to buy. Does anyone have personal experience, opinions, advise, feedback or recommendations which may be of help to me please. The models are the; Trakker Levelite long back recliner and Solar tackle SP C-Tech reclining high chair.
Cheers rapidh32
