In reply to Post #18 I picked up a tempest 100 EV Aquatexx from them in the Black Friday sale for £320. Was the cheapest I could find anywhere by about £50.

In reply to Post #1 I spent £334.13 in their shop last week, got 15% discount which receipt says £60.14. Then other part of the receipt says £50.12. Then vat added £56.81. What I bought came to more than original price.

I'm after a Tempest 150 and noticed they put their prices up quite a bit at the same time they have their sale. I'll sit back until Boxing day/ New year

In reply to Post #16 And then hope for 20% cashback if you buy from ebay via topcashback at the moment 😉

I've picked up a few bits from TFT this Black Friday and found them, (on the gear I wanted anyway) to be there or thereabouts the same as the rest. The others have been pretty crap on the whole, Bristol Angling giving 15% but loads of stuff out of stock, same with Angling4Less. Tackle Tavern isn't bad though.
Heads up on TFT, Fortis are excluded from their 15% on the website but if you look at their eBay store, most Fortis stuff is reduced by the 15%, (apart from the new Tundra range).

In reply to Post #13 Great shop, use them all the time and usually has the best discounts. Ive had some superb discounts from tft that no other shop could get anywhere near.

In reply to Post #13 wont find the gtl 8000 cheaper anywhere else

There is a lot of places you can get decent discounts on Black Friday total fishing tackle isn’t one of them

In reply to Post #11 if you mean line lay, then you are looking at wrong reels, all pics ive seen line lay is incredible! I have no idea if they are any good but what I do know based on a person who services reel, that the scope range are solid reels and good internals

In reply to Post #10 sorry massive derail off thread - these reels'look' to me to have the worst line line (in pictures) are they actually any good?

In reply to Post #1 What I would say from TFT you can now get three Nash scope gtl 8000 for 382 quid. That's a steal. No where else is that cheap this black friday.

In reply to Post #5 Yep the same old Amazon have been doing it for years.
At the end of the day if you see something at a good price don’t hang about thinking it might be cheaper on a Black Friday as we know months before it’s probably been up for less.
I’m stunned that folk still get caught up in it year in year out

I got the basia spod in pre sales for £100 cheaper than it’s going for now so can’t moan about that
In reply to Post #3 They do the same each year. It will be similar in Jan and Easter. People must fall for it so if it’s within trading standards then it’s down to the customer to use their noggin.
they do it every year, everyone gets caught up in the black Friday fever and sees the word "discount" and can't help themselves.
In reply to Post #3 Not in this case. I buy from there and for the last few years found you get a better deal in their pre Black Friday sales than the actual Black Friday sales. Bought a Solar brolly from them a few years ago, pre Black Friday sale, ended up paying £40 less than they had it in their Black Friday sale. Did the same last year with a few bits from there so definitely a consistent trend and tactic they use to attract buyers on Black Friday
In reply to Post #1 Perhaps they sold all the stock they had and the next lot they purchased the price had gone up.
Their are lots of reasons.
Its a right mixed bag. I put some stuff in my basket at TFT then had a quick look round and some were still cheaper at places like The Tackle Tavern.
Same with the DNA sale, great if you want bulk but if you're after topping up bits your better off at TFT. Wish they'd do post free and mix and match.
Edit, I got fed up constantly having to look round, gave up!

Anybody else noticed they have got 15% off for Black Friday but the prices have just gone up by 15% from last week
I only noticed this because I was looking at some Shimano reels last week and they were £179.99, this week they are £229.99 You couldn’t make it up
