I use Jasons's enigma bait, that has onion derivatives in it, it doesn't reek of onion but the carp seem to like it.

A bit off the OP but when I was a user of active bait solutions I used the GNZ bait which worked fantastically on one water but failed miserably on my second water! Once venue in the Colne Valley it produced run after run the second water in Cambs I gave up after 10 blanks and switched to their tuna &N-But and started catching immediately? Both were rich waters and very clear couldn't put my finger on it but it shows a good bait will not catch everywhere. One of the attractive properties of GNZ is a garlic emulsion I gather shipped in from the states that Geoff rates highly and used in high quantities (hence the DGT double garlic).

Listened to a podcast with Jason and he goes into a bit of depth on the use of Onion powder/flavour within his baits and pitfalls etc... with people over doing it and some of the products being pants, I'm sure from memory he mentioned some he tried were absolutely useless and it took him sometime to source what he uses.

Sorry cannot remember for definite who's podcast he was on I think it may of been Jamie Clossick's a while ago now.

Any using onion products. EO such as mexican onion oil or onion powder.

Read Jason from A baits book and he highly rates onion products as superb attraction. Anyone ?
