Ah, thanks both! I think I try them, probably over the phone if I can. Probably going to be spend around the 1k mark. I'm after a bivvy and a few other bits. Will definitely report back

I buy a bit of stuff from Dansons, mail order, they have some good offers every now and then.
Last purchase was a Nash Storm Sticks offer, great comms and no probs at all.
Baitman bought some too, again, no probs 
That was around Dec time iirc.

Decent shop, bit old school so not sure on their mail order, I go in. They certainly won't rip you off. I took an Avid bivvy back twice for bits falling off. They sorted me out with something different no quibble in the end.

Opinions on Danson Angling guys? They have some great prices on some of the gear I'm currently after but the reviews online don't fill me with much confidence 
Any recent experiences?

I had a very unpleasant experience with TFT over the christmas holiday and I am currently having quite a bad experience with Johnson Ross. Just saying..

Not sure if this is too much to ask, but do you happen to know which of these ship to the USA? I know BCT and Johnson Ross do.

I think Yateley Angling Centre should be added to the list. They are, alongside The Tacklebox and Johnson Ross, the best tackle shop I've ever dealt with.
