Use TFT a lot, odd little issue but nothing major at all and always been sorted with minimum fuss.

I put in an order yesterday, 10.30am, it was here at 9am this morning.

I also had to cancel an item I had on pre-order as I picked it up elsewhere, messaged them on Whats-App at 11am yesterday and asked them to cancel and refund. They messaged back at 2pm and the refund was in my PayPal account at 4pm.

Sign up to their XTRA club, £12 for a year gives next day delivery and access to exclusive deals. I do believe it makes a difference to responses.

Personally, I can't fault them and as I said, I use them a lot!

I'm obviously glad you got it sorted but it's very much luck of the drawer, plenty of feedback on Solar being crap at responding too, though maybe they 'prioritise' replies, who knows.
It's still not very good you had to go to Solar to get a response from TFT.

I would 100% agree with you but at the same time when I contacted Solar they responded within 30m of my email. When I told them I cant get hold of TFT they made a call and within an hour not only did TFT responded to me but solar emailed me to say the spare part is being sent out.

Vast difference in Customer Service

Maybe so, but given how impatient some of the modern generation are, quite frankly I don't blame them. I can imagine they're having the same problem with WhatsApp tbh. I remember seeing posts on the Carplounge FB groups, along the lines of "I've emailed them 4 times today", I'm thinking get a grip.

I'm not making excuses for the poor service some have received, but could you imagine if someone interrupted you in your job as frequently as some people think is necessary nowadays, you'd end up swamped.

TFT, victims of they're own success maybe, as a independent I give them some room but obviously not as much as someone experienced.

Johnson’s Ross are by the far the best shop I have used. Their prices on some items are higher compared to competitors, but customer service is second to none.

AD I’ve found hit and miss. Bought a deeper recently that took ages to come and when it did the seal on the box had been broken and there was a few scratches on the deeper unit. Likely a customer return they sent out.

I for one would never buy from a tackle shop without a contact number
Absolutely terrible way to run a business
Maybe put it all over their socials and trustpilot if they want to play that game..

your correct about using your local tackle shop but myself (probably a lot of other people too) have not really got one as such except Angling Directs

TFT have taken over Outlaw pro,as most know..

I bought a bedchair from OP,just before they got taken over ,the service I got from OP,was second to none ,examplery, great communication ..etc..

Hope that continues ...

There's a lot to be said for your local tackleshop ,if it still exists.

They are a terrible company made worse by them using another terrible company in Yodal to deliver the orders. It's a complete shambles

Yodel only do customer services on Tuesday to Thursday, a 3 day week

It doesn't matter what the discount is I will never ever ever use this company again, great price absolute shockingly **** service when things go wrong, and let's face it 99% of fishing kit is cheap mass-produced Chinese **** with very little if any quality control so you are going to have this happen a fair bit. I now pay the extra and just go into Johnson Ross or Angling direct , the extra cash is worth the piece of mind of being able to go down and speak with a human and not have to deal via email ect with an unhelpful ****.

Edited to add I notice i have already replied, apologies the name of this company gets the heckles up!, you work hard try and make an informed decision on kit from the likes of here and facebook then it falls apart on you only to suffer this company certainly is a kick in the balls.

I've used them loads over the years but never again. I can't even speak to a person to explain the problem properly. You end up writing essays on WhatsApp or messenger just to get a one sentence answer back ever 48hours. It's stupid

I wouldn't worry, you only tend to hear the bad, if I'm honest I can focus on that sometimes but the good will vastly outweigh the bad, as is normally always the case.

I've used TFT a lot over the last 2 years and on the whole they are very good. Comms can sometimes be slow, as can delivery, but that's usually at busier times of year and you have to be realistic. Given the problems that Carplounge had (maybe still have) it appears the younger generational expect a answer same day, or in some cases I've seen in no less than 4 hours, otherwise they send another msg, I can imagine it being a nightmare to keep up with queries, rather than picking/packing/shipping.

I have had 1 issue with a TFT purchase via eBay, reconciled amicably.

I've currently got an issue with a pair of boots I bought from them. I must say I dreaded getting in touch with them based on this and other threads, but I've so far been very impressed with their communication and response time via Messenger. I've got a link to download a return form to send the product back and ask for either a refund or replacement, so I guess the proof will be in how quickly they turn it around when I've got around to returning the item

Total Fishing Tackle are my main 'go to' for tackle nowadays.

I've not had any issues with them, but when I had an issue with a product (Nash heated blanket) they were retards to deal with.

The blanket has toggles which connect to the connecting loops on the bed chair.

On my OLD Nash SS3 bedchair these loops are OUTSIDE of the zip. Therefore, putting the toggles through the loops means you cannot zip your sleep system up!

I explained this to them and even provided photos. They didn't understand the issue!?

I also copied/pasted information from the Nash website which listed the models of bed that this blanket WAS compatible with (I researched this in hindsight, I never realised I was going to have this issue obviously)

Also, I suggested they included that information in there web page for the item to save them future returns/hassle/frustrated customers.

Doubt it happened
Just checked, no mention of it
LINKY POO™ https://www.total-fishing-tackle.com/nash-indulgence-heated-blanket

All they say is "Heated Blankets are available to fit Indulgence Compact, Standard and Wide Sleep System frames." which as I have pointed out isn't quite true...it depends on the model

I will never use this company again - as bad a company as I have used when things go wrong. Next big item I need will only be purchased from Jonson Ross or Angling Direct in Waltham Cross. I dont care how much more I need to pay suffering the pain of dealing with someone as *****y and unhlepful as TFT is a price worth paying.

I have never had a problem with TFT until my last order which I placed on Xmas day and still waiting for. However, they were very helpful, answering my emails and WhatsApp messages within 24 hours and it now transpires that the Amazon courier has lost the parcel! TFT have resent it and hopefully I will get it very soon. I think in many cases the problem with delivery is with the courier and there probably isn't much TFT can do about that once the parcel has been picked up. Like I say, I've ordered loads off them and this has been the only problem I've had. I will still continue to use them especially considering the deals they have knock spots off AD!

I've had this experience too. They often advertise goods as in stock which arent, then don't tell you when you place the order.
As previously stated, the service you get at the tackle box comes with a cost. You can't employ knowledgeable people to update and understand stock without paying them wages. Of course forthcoming A.I. might have an effect on this. However, even A.I. won't be able to give you an opinion of a product based on use and years of experience.
I've been sold stuff in there which you would never buy online, if you just believed the likes of carpology, "reviews".
Edit. I would like to add, I have bought from Tackle Tavern several times and never had a problem.

After my last experience I wouldn't use them again, I ordered a bivvy paid for next day delivery and was still waiting 2 weeks later, when I finally got a response I asked if I'd get my next day delivery charge back, they replied no, its only next day delivery when it's been dispatched!

A few days later I got a phone call apologising but they didn't have it in stock, I could wait for them to come in or have my money back , asked for a refund, which in fairness to them was immediate.

I then contacted the Tackle Tavern who agreed to price match and I had it the next day.

The only good thing I can say about TFT is that often they are cheap, but when good reputable companies like Tackle Tavern will price match why give yourself the grief.

Used them a number of times and have had mixed experiences with items sent also after sales response, the after sales service I found was slow. Example, I wanted to enquire regarding a particular item before making an expensive purchase but no response, so ordered elsewhere saved a fiver and two day delivery was free.

Yes you can and I have done when fishing berners- my point was you can’t phone them and the focus is on an Amazon model of web sales with the retail as a bolt on. It’s not a criticism just that we can’t have it all.

I’ve used them before and never had an issue - BUT

how can any retailer afford to offer big discounts? It has to change its business model to ensure that it makes a living. You just can’t have M&S service at Aldi prices. The Tackle Box has knowledgeable people waiting to serve, they pick up the phone within 5 rings, they are an angler first emporium. The type of shop you take a kid just into fishing to ask advice and what venue to go to.

If we want absolute best price - it will come at a price.

I've said before I will not buy from any on line retailer that doesn't give a phone number and an address that can be visited. If they are not approachable by phone and face to face in my opinion they don't deserve to be in business.

Has anyone got a phone number for total fishing tackle. Theres no contact number anywhere. Bought a daiwa tournament match reel which has a faulty bale arm and ive requested a return on the website but no one seems to be bothered to authorise it so i can send it back as it has to be authorised by them before you can send it back. I hate these shops that dont have a phone number to contact them. It all has to be done by email or whatsapp or messenger.
