In reply to Post #24 Where did you get that deal? I have 2 x p1 bow locs but at that price might as well see what the fuss is all about 😂

In reply to Post #23 I paid 210 for mine posted, it's a decent net

If everyone keeps going on about how great these bloody Korda nets are I’m going to have to buy one 😂

Just tried the Korda Spring Bow Landing Net in a shop. Nice piece of kit indeed. Definitely more rigid than my MK2 Dymag, so the Dymag has to go.

In reply to Post #19 I had a pair of Matrix 3k nets which I was perfectly happy with, but the Korda Springbow in on another level all together. Lighter more rigid and I personally like the deep mesh. If you have deep margins it’s brilliant for letting the fish rest in whilst you sort all your weighing gear out.
A massive thumbs up from me.

In reply to Post #19 Thanks, but I was never really fond of the Dymag. The quality is great obviously, but it never felt rigid/stiff. If I hold the Dymag MK2 with a hand and support the handle under my elbow, it also flexes as you lift the net out of the water. I never understood the hype personally.

In reply to Post #18 The Korda net is a great alternative to the unavailable Dymag mk2 but I would not sell a Dymag to get one !

In reply to Post #17 Does someone have the experience to say whether the Korda net is better and lighter than the Matrix 3k Landing Net?
I am selling my Dymag Mk2 net for a new net, so it should be good.

In reply to Post #13 Yeah gotta agree, not a massive difference in weight from my 15 year old Century NG model

In reply to Post #15 Hold on, there bringing out a shallow mesh. Spoke to korda a few wks back.

In reply to Post #14 Had mine a while and not a fan of the deep net, I guess any 42inch net will fit it though?

|
|
In reply to Post #13 Its the stupidly deep mesh that makes it heavy. The main reason i got it was how stiff it was.
|
|
|
I nipped into the tackle shop earlier on the way to the lake and had a better look at the Korda Net.
I set it up and was surprised at how heavy it is, not sure if it’s the whole thing that is heavy or the overly deep mesh that weighs it down.
I’ve got a Mk2 & Mk3 Dymag, I’m actually using the Mk3 tonight and the Korda one definitely feels more cumbersome than both of those.
It’s a nicely put together but if kit and feels quality but just a bit heavier that’s I expected.

In reply to Post #11 I think that might be to difficult. The longer it is the harder it is to maintain the same rigidity.

|

In reply to Post #10 Wish they made an 8ft2 piece version with the same stiffness in the handle.

In reply to Post #8 I was going to say stiff pole but that sounds even worse 😀

In reply to Post #6 You wont until you try one. A stiff handle makes a huge difference.

In reply to Post #5 Tbh.. I've never noticed with any nets I've used an issue.
Maybe if I had a go with a Korda one that view could possibly change
|

In reply to Post #4 The main reason is how stiff it is, the pole dosent really bend at all. Nearly every net ive owned other than chris brown and dymag are way to bendy and a nightmare when your trying to net a fish. It even floats without a net float.

What makes this the best net?
Not trolling, genuinely curious.

In reply to Post #1 Best net I have owned and I still have a Dymag mk3 which no longer gets used at all

Theres already a thread running on this i think. Ive got one and they are superb. Never thought i would say it but even better than my dymag nets i had. The only thing i dont like is how deep the net is but there bringing out a shallow mesh for it. Plenty places will give you 10% off as i paid £225 for mine.
