In reply to Post #5 Thanks for the reply Keith 👍
Need to have a think about what I want to do, so many options

In reply to Post #1 I often fish slack lines but need the indicator to stay on the line and not 'ping out' on the take.
I was using my M.R. Twitchers Saturday night, got a screaming run at first light from a F###### Goosander! Line did not ping out until the Rod was picked up.

In reply to Post #2 Does the line stay in the Twitcher indicator on a take, or does it pull out?

In reply to Post #1 I have one of these and the rail indicator and really like both of them. Tend to use the twitcher for close in slack line work and if the wind picks up use in the sprung mode.
Mostly in the spring and summer at medium range I use the rail indicators now.
Nice to have the option of both though.

Has anyone on here tried the new incarnation of the Defiant MPS Twitcher? I often fish slack lines but need the indicator to stay on the line and not 'ping out' on the take. I see this one has a spring on it, so I was wondering if anyone has any experience of using them and how much of a run you get before the line pings out as I use roller alarms.(fox rx)
Cheers in advance.
I'm also looking at the Merlins as an option..
For reference.
I've also got the Scorpions which are gd in the wind.
But the main set ive been using is a set which I see is no longer available, which have been great, but the hinges have now started to misalign (They've had some mileage, so time to replace) can't remember what they were called?
I bought the rail indicators, which I love the concept of, but they're just not for me. I will be selling these if anyone's interested. They have fluoro green mag heads.
