I'll often fish with just those two baits and a pint of maggot
Boilies can be overused and overrated
And if all fails, a consolation spam sandwich tastes better than a mouthful of sticky krill any day of the week

I think to have a different rod out with bread or luncheon meat these two baits do tend to pull some bites when it's hard to get a bit on the boilie.its good to have something different in your bag to get that odd bite you never know it could be a game changer for you and give you a BB good luck and tight lines to you all from Mick

My favourite bait
When all else fails I'll always give the bread a go.
Fish as a 'popped up' bait, can be dynamite in the margins. Great on zigs or on the float. Hair rig a chunk of crust and you're away

I think bread can give you a never edge in your carp fishing when it's a bit hard to catch them i know you still get some bream or some other fish on it that's why i think a White pop up on a hair rig rought up is a good way to fish it.thank you for your reply tight lines and good luck form Mick

Liquidised bread (fresh bread put in a liquidiser) behaves totally different to "soaked" or mashed bread.
it's semi Bouyant or nutrual bouyant.
It's used by Match anglers for punch fishing in canals etc They would not think of using mashed or soaked bread, liquidised bread looks like one of those snow domes you get at Christmas!
I've used it for carp in a PVA bag on a park lake in winter. Very very effective. (IE where people feed ducks!) But works anywhere. Deadly in clear water.
Either use a white pop up. or tie a small white cable tie to end of your hair rig(cable tie in loop). Get a quarter slice of white bread, roll it with the grain (crust removed) and poke the roll through the cable tie and then fold it round and pinch the two end. Works great.

That's a good way to he don't soak it he blend's it as it is and puts it in the PVA bag as the bag dissolves the bread breaks down and the small bits of air trapped in it helps it to float of the bottom of the bed and attracts the fish to your bait.thank you for your reply tight lines and good luck form Mick

Agreed I just soak the bread then mould it around the hook or even some around the lead if you need more out there.
It just breaks up but doesn’t normally float just drifts around. I use bread summer and winter, fish love it, it’s cheap and readily available.

I no you don't but using a PVA bag and letting it dissolve around your bait gives it a natural look and attachés more fish around your hook bait and give you some extra fish in the bag.thank you for your reply tight lines and good luck

Hi I've seen a video were someone using bread as an attracher and a White pop up on a hair rig rought up what he does is blend fresh bread up and then put it in a PVA stocking he pushes in down not to tight or to much make them about inch thick tie it tight and leave about a one inch tale and put your hook through the tip of the tale and push that up to the hair and rap the rest around the hook and then hook the stocking were the bread is then cast out the stocking will dissolve and the bread will break down and start to float up.i hope this will help you to catch some more fish 🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟 good luck and tight lines.thank you for reading my thread
