I have used this company for a very long time and will do so in the future. Good bait at a sensible price with an owner who has great respect in the business.

In reply to Post #78 They’ve never struck me as that kind of people. Still it’s a modern world and who am I to judge. I gotta be honest though given the choice I think I’d rather pay full whack.

In reply to Post #78 beg your pardon lol.

In reply to Post #76 Yes give them a rim get good price

In reply to Post #76 Contact them on the number and they will give you a price for bulk orders

In reply to Post #75 Anyone mind saying what prices your paying in 20 or 30k off abs as there’s only the option to add 5 k at a time . There’s no option for bulk orders

In reply to Post #68 Yes! It’s a great all year round bait 👍

I think I’m going to give hydra k a go next year. Is it worth the extra few quid?
In reply to Post #61 Thankyou for clearing that up
In reply to Post #65 The only thing I don’t like about their baits is everything is milled down really fine - I guess to make the mix go through the rolling machine better. I like lumps in the bait…..
Lots of baits change colour (within reason) as the fishmeal colour can change depending on the ratios of species in it. Even nut meals can change a bit.

In reply to Post #62 Smell, texture, density, colour.
It’s hardly rocket science to guess what’s going on.
But like I said that’s just my opinion and my own experience.
If you are still confident in the bait fair play. I am sure plenty of anglers are. The bait caught me lots of fish back in the day. And no doubt plenty for others.
Unfortunately I lost confidence.
In reply to Post #61 Inconsistent in what way?
In reply to Post #59 Yes used the company a lot of the years myself.
Good for quite a while until every batch I ordered was inconsistent.
Friends found the same more than once.
Folks in the industry I know found the same as well as other issues around quality
and if they wish to share any views publicly that’s up to them.

In reply to Post #57 Of course your entitled to an opinion. But why say somthing like then not back it with at least what you’ve been told
In reply to Post #57 Have you used the bait or just listened to rumours,im genuinely interested in why you said what you said
In reply to Post #57 Why write that you've heard bad things but then not say what it they were? Bit odd not to elaborate.
In reply to Post #48 Why should I withdraw my comment?
Am i not entitled to my own opinion ?
You crack on and buy the stuff if you are confident in it.

In reply to Post #55 I have some custom 18mm black hydra k specials with the black mamba liquid (s & o I think?) that look heavy but are light wafters. They are soft on outside and release a lot of flavour but tough inside and stay on with coots and other critters nibbing them, caught really well on them.
In reply to Post #54 I have some hydra k bobbers from ub baits, caught quite well on them
In reply to Post #39 I had 35k delivered a couple weeks ago, great service as always and catch just as much on hydra k as I was on what I thought was 'the best bait money could by' (home rolled)
I used hydra k a few years ago and it has not changed at all.
The guys are really helpful, honest and come through everytime. Not a bad word to say about them. Buy with confidence

In reply to Post #51 One one occasion Digger delivered my bait to my swim. Now that’s service. Lol.

In reply to Post #50
never had a problem with ABS, even when they were a much smaller company than they are now, and digger would drive round the M25 every thursday to drop baits off at lakes etc. Still on their bait 15/20yrs later and still 100% trust them, and when you think that the likes of thicky etc still use ABS baits, they cant be rubbish

In reply to Post #39 Say that to Geoff's face. I dare you.

In reply to Post #39 Come on then, spill the beans? This should be interesting 🤣

The one and only negative post ive ever read about ABS
Spill the beans or withdraw your comment

In reply to Post #39 Funniest thing I've read
In reply to Post #39 "folks in the Industry" aka "i had a mate who"
Its just a nothing post unless you substantiate it with some detail.
As many others have said they have a Stella reputation in the bait game.. they supply a lot of the smaller companies and have supplied bigger companies in the past who have grown onto roll it their selves.
I don't think they even advertised till recently did they? When you good enough to not have to advertise your product it says a lot about the said product
In reply to Post #39 And what would these horror stories be? I'm assuming this is coming from others in the bait game?
In reply to Post #39 This is quite possibly the first time I have ever heard or read anything negative about ABS.
Heard quite a few horror stories the other day from folks in the industry concerning ABS.
Wouldn’t use them or trust them myself.
In reply to Post #37 Yes I agree with that, 2T-B was good to me last season, 2 pb's both on this bait throughout the winter, 100% confidence in it.
picked up the last bit of plan zero from the shop last week so gonna give that a good go this winter and see how I get on.
In reply to Post #36 I've been using Geoff's baits for years, been on 2T-B for 3 seasons now, done so well on it, it's quite soft so need either cork dust wafters or hard hookers if match the hatch, but I usually use a white DT Bobber from UB Baits on the hook 👌🏻
In reply to Post #35 Reading this just might explain why a couple of anglers on my syndicate have done poorly on a well established bait, Innovate S2T, heavy on the RR apparently etc, it's always caught really well for them but from the middle of last year through this year they've struggled, makes you wonder!!
In reply to Post #32 I'm not sure what has caused the dramatic change in results. The guy I fish with is on the S7 too and he is not catching the same either. We fish a small lake where we can watch the fish on the bait, they are not responding to it the same anymore.Have they got to used to seeing it and treat it with caution,I honestly don't know.I thought it was just use doing something wrong until I started this thread,it seems others are having the same issue
In reply to Post #29 I have used S7 for at least 5 or 6 years and haven't noticed any change in it's effectiveness since they tweaked the recipe with the Robin red.
I like to watch fish in the margins and also feed them in areas you can't fish for them, they still seem to hoover every last bit of crumbed up boilie like they used to.
Also I don't feel I'm being outfished by others on my lake who are using different baits, if I did I'd change too !
In reply to Post #32 I’d say it’s more likely that the bait is just as effective but after 7/8 years people’s interest has moved on and they fancy something new. First thing to change up is always the bait!
In reply to Post #29 So are we saying that a synthetic dye made the difference between an average bait and a good bait? If so that's the whole H.N.V theory blown to pieces.. I've never fully got into that btw too many fish caught on so called inferior baits. I'll agree the hnv baits are good for them and pack on weight but are they the most likely to hook you a fish? I'm not convinced. I still use good bait though, even if I don't fully buy the theory.

In reply to Post #27 I've got nothing but praise for ABS. Been using a custom Malarkey for years and years now and recently took it to France and had a mega haul. Price, quality and reliability all second-to-none IMHO.

In reply to Post #22 Snap - I’ve lost total confidence.

In reply to Post #25 I only seem to see positive feedback for ABS

In reply to Post #23 DNA do mention the (Robin Red) colour change, due to DEFRA rules ( MADE BY HAITHS )
S7 details as per website
Crude Protein : 30.9%
Oil / Lipid : 11.25%
Ash : 6.2%
Salt / Sodium : 2.38%
Please note: There is now a slight colour change in the Secret 7 freezer and shelf-life baits due to the synthetic dye present in the original Red birdfood mix no longer allowed to be used in fish feed in accordance with regulations put in place by DEFRA. Consequently, the red dye now used in is completely natural, which is great, but it means it doesn’t hold its colour in the bait as well as its synthetic predecessor.
Please feel rest assured, however, as Secret 7 is still the same top-quality red fishmeal it always has been and continues to catch thousands of carp in the UK and around the world.

In reply to Post #24 You won't regret it.
In reply to Post #23 Well it would seem it is a few of us feeling the same,im 90% going to ABS
In reply to Post #22 I've been the same with the S7.... since the colour change my confidence in it has dropped... i only really noticed it when i found a 5kg bag of the older red stuff in shelf life and caught with it.
Genuinely think it more me then the bait but I've certainly started to consider changings off it.
I moved to DNA from ABS and was a long term user of there Malarky, Belechan and choc nut baits. were always great for me and probably going to go back to them
In reply to Post #20 Not sure others are finding the same as me but its just not the producing like it was.I was confident in it on new waters and always felt I would catch unfortunately its just not happening now.It could be I'm **** (before someone says it) but imo it's just not the same

In reply to Post #18 Tell them where you’re fishing and they’ll be able to advise - and yes, they roll barrels
In reply to Post #19 Seems a lot of people are moving off this bait after nothing but praise for the years after it was released. Is it the change in colour since the dye change or just people getting itchy feet and fancying a change?
In reply to Post #17 Lost confidence in it,I still have quite a bit left in the freezer so will use it and see if anything changes
In reply to Post #17 Hi chaps, off to do a bit of French river fishing 🎣, what would be your go to chosen bait in the range and do they do barrel shape.
In reply to Post #1 Why are you moving away from S7 ?
In reply to Post #15 Yes it does have a bit of nut I think but more milks and Birdfood. Plus it has the cell yeasts that I like in a bait 👍
In reply to Post #14 Plan zero is a nut bait 😉
In reply to Post #13 I always do these days, it works really well.
Just ordered 25kg of Hyrds K and 10kg of Plan Zero as it gets colder I will increase the amount of plan zero but fish them together. I nearlly bought choc nut but I never get on with nut baits, always seem to catch bream lol pretty sure the plan zero is very similar to snowberry and I've done well on that in the past.
In reply to Post #2 Why wouldn't you mix baits? Can be a great tactic
A word to the wise. If you order hard hook baits. Invest in a fine bait drill or you will break your baiting needles.
In reply to Post #10 Had some samples through, they certainly put plenty in the bags. The choc nut orange smells really nice.I see what you mean about the big flecks of orange though
In reply to Post #9 The I bait had colourful flecks before so not sure why anything’s changed
In reply to Post #8 I think they grind everything down fine to make it go through the rollers. I’d rather have lumpy barrels!
I had a sample of the orange nut. Looks nothing like the pic on the website. Not one bit of orange infused egg biscuit to be seen. Bit like the Ibait no flecks of coloured egg biscuit like it used to be. No doubt still be a good bait
In reply to Post #6 I've often used two baits to see which gets the best response, but where I fish the fish are just into fishmeal baits. I find nut. baits don't work any where near as well. No idea why other than that's what most people use.
In reply to Post #2 I normally like fishing two different baits,it's something I have always done.
Choc orange is a really good bait and did well on it a few years ago been thinking about starting to use it again when I have got through the 50kg af s7 I have
In reply to Post #3 2-T…… tutti. Gettit?
In reply to Post #1 I can’t comment on the newer 2T-B C3P0 R2D2 but we did use the choc orange when it was sold through Perfection Baits and it was a decent bait.
I’ve also used Malarky, Fifth Element, McNut, GNZ and a couple of others over the years that I can’t even remember now. They were all decent, and I never had a bad batch of anything. We had the added bonus of them being delivered direct to the lake every Thursday so that was bloody handy as well. :-)
Why come off the S7 though?
In reply to Post #1 I’ve used both and caught well especially on the nut but I cant think why you would want to mix them
I know it's been done to death and all his baits catch fish but I just wanted users opinions on a couple of baits I'm interested in.Choc nut orange and 2T-B,I was thinking of mixing these and moving away from DNA S7.Any users of the ABS baits your feedback will be appreciated
