Thanks for advise. I shall order some. Hopefully they won't be biting in October, but with our present climate, who knows.

Yes you can mate.
I was attacked by mozzies so bad that when I moved to swim 12 I drove round there and slept in my car!!

Thanks vèry much for info.. I've just got back from fishing in the same area as Beauregard, 40 degrees and I got eaten alive by mossi.
One more question. Can you drive around the lake for unloading purposes.

Fished it last year with a group of 5 other lads from my syndi.
Two of the guys wanted to fish together, they bivvied up between 10 & 11 and found that okay but not a double swim as such
None of the swims (if I remember correctly) looked big enough to be classed as a true "double".
I initially went into swim 2, which was one of the largest, and even then I wouldn't have wanted to fish it as a double due to the restrictions on casting to the right and the island on the left which had just had aerator work carried out and was OOB as far as casting to it were concerned. It might be different now though.
I then moved around to swim 12, which is a little more restrictive, you'll be bivvied up a little further from your rods than in swim 2, but this is where I caught the few fish I had.
It's a nice lake though, and I'd love to go again. Our problem was that we hit it after a particularly long spell of hot, dry weather. The water level was well down on what it should have been, and that, combined with the searing heat while we were there affected the fishing. Having said that, two of us beat our pb's with a 41 Mirror and a 51 Common.
Lovely fish, and proper scrappers.
The other thing to prepare for are the bloody mosquito's. I have never encountered so many during a weeks fishing in France before. Make sure that you all have mozzie nets, and use them!!
As I say, a nice lake. Plenty of features to fish to, although I had my pb from open water.

A group of us are off to lake Beauregard in October 20. Could anyone give me any info on swims as in size double or singles.
