I had boom 80s until a few years ago, I used them with skee tex liners, they fitted fine back then.

Boom 80s long gone.. your best bet would be getting some of the skeetex fleece liners.

Still got my old Boom 80 Moonboots - you know the soft squidgy ones 🙂

These are perfect for sitting around but useless for walking in. Few hundred yds max I’d say, but if you are sitting looking at the rods or lake on a freezing cold day they are the dogs danglies.

I need to replace the liners as the foam backing is starting to break down, but in fairness they must be easily 20 years old.

Anyone know where these can be had/stocked?

I trawled through the posts on here for good warm waterproof footwear.

Because of how wet it's been, and cold, I needed a welly rather than a boot.

Spent high on these Aigles, but they are incredible.

I'm tall, skinny and get cold easily. These have been brilliant if anyone is looking.

Bought my Aigles in a closing down sale for 90 quid. They are amazing. 10 years old now and as good as new, including the neoprene lining. They have covered hundreds of miles of shingle beach, all my winter fishing and general wear. Thermal boots are no contest. If and when I need replacements I will happily pay the seemingly ridiculous price. A case of you get what you pay for. Ultra quality, perfection.

I went into the countryman of derby intending to buy a pair Le Chameau, the guy serving me put me off saying they have a fair few pairs come back with quality issues in the last few years, he pointed me to the Aigle ISO parcour 2 (neoprene lined version). I used them for last autumn/winters shooting season and I’ve been amazed how comfortable they’re for walking miles in & your feet remain toasty warm.

They are spacious but I got a size up for getting them on quickly at night. They're still comfortable.

I woke in construction and supply and install concrete floors....our concrete laying team are wearing wellies all day every day and they all swear by muck boots....not the cheapest but the lads say they are well worth the extra ..especially as they are wearing them all day...

I bought a pair of Navitas Lite wellingtons and they are excellent. Comfy as slippers and they are that light, you do not know your wearing them. They come with thermal felt liners that you use in winter and without for summer. Plus you can use the liner as a bivvy shoe if you have cold feet in your sleeping bag during winter. As well as fresh water fishing all year round, I also use them in the depths of winter for beach fishing and never get cold feet.

I got mine from Go outdoors for about £19 years ago and they are still going strong. Plenty on Ebay and going price is around £32

I’d personally pop in a large gun shop, I bought a pair of cheaper neoprene wellies which were £60 2years ago and there still going strong.

It's at www.lechameau.com,

The MEN'S CHASSEUR HÉRITAGE LEATHER LINED BOOT, £225 instead of £380
One of the better looking set's in my view.

Agile parcours. Nice comfy rubber wellies you can wear all day.
Worth paying the bit extra for.

I've noticed no difference in the length of time before wellies start leaking between cheap (£10) and relatively expensive (£40) brands, so I'm currently wearing the £10 Dunlop ones and they're fine. I also have a pair of neoprene Muck Boots for winter, but they're far too warm for summer use.

What wellies are people wearing?

The last cheap pair of rubber boots I bought lasted a matter of days. Thinking maybe I should try some neoprene, but will get used for gardening and the brambles should shred them quicker than rubber.
