Never used soft braid but I'm sure it would work fine. You could also try use a helicopter rig with your standard ronnie hooklink and just adjust it depending on how deep it is.

Anyone used a soft braid for Ronnie rig , I'm fishing a very silty lake at the moment and wanted to make sure it's sitting right thanks guys
