Me and 3 mates have just done 3 days on weybread lakes in Norfolk. It’s about 3.5 hours from York, 3.5 acres over 100 fish upto 30lb ish. You all fish from an island so great for a social. Not sure if you’d get a weekend booking but sure it will be fine for a midweek. Cost us 350ish for 60 hour lake exclusive

Hi Everybody,

Both I and 2 friends have been enjoying the day ticket specimen lakes located near us in York. We're now looking to travel further afield for a full weekend fishing trip in 4 weeks time.

I was just wondering if anyone could kindly recommend a fantastic day ticket specimen lake within a 4hr drive of york that would make a great weekend trip? We have only moved onto specimen fishing in the past year so preferably any lakes that are not too difficult and we are going to need 2/3 pegs available on a weekend. We also understand we are only booking 4 weeks in advance, so I guess this will take the usual hotspots out of the equation.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated,

Cheers!
