Yep i've seen some that are up for sale after only doing a 48 hour session etc.

Weight seems to be a real issue with these . Especially for those who are now selling their bivvy after only a couple of outings with it. There appears to plenty up for sale on the Facebook selling pages

I've seen it at a show and, price aside, it's far from poorly made. I think its probably one of the best quality bivvies on the market (which explains the weight). Mind you, I'm not a Ridgemonkey fan. Far from it. Everything I bought from RM ended up in a dumpster after a few weeks.

My mate got his XF2 last Friday with all the bells and whistles, extended porch, fly sheet, magnetic mozzi screens, I was fishing the syndicate at the weekend and he brought it down so we could set it up prior to going to France in October.
My first impression of it was, very good material, seriously heavy, faff to put up the extended porch, super sized you need half a tennis court, no need to worry about sloping sides and storage that will never be a problem, generous bags to pack away not trying to vacuum pack it to get it back in, good robust T-pegs.
I liked it I don't know about the price mind and whether I would part with that much for it, for spending a week/two away in Europe absolutely perfect but no good if you haven't got the space, eradicates the need for say a cook tent or somewhere to sit out, possibly in the one man would be more my preference as the XF2 was massive the porch would accommodate most stood up in as my mate is 6ft and still had another 5/6 inches spare, they have gone to town with support bars and the like unlike the Oz tent equivalent

When ridge monkey first came to the market place they priced themselves below everyone
The initial cooking kit was good
I bought the square stove because I liked the solid 4 leg base but can’t say it’s any better than my 10 year old trakker light weight tri stove
I bought the bivvy light and was impressed
Now I look at ridge monkey and think a lot of the products are cheap and poorly made
The bivvy will sell on the name but without the name I’m not sure they would sell many
As with all tackle companies there is only so many products
Every company copies each other and ridge monkey seem to be doing this more than most
We moan about the lack of products available and then moan when more are available but of a lesssr quality
As long as these companies are around they will keep every other company honest and new products will keep coming through
Tasker started with tungsten products 4 years ago. Now they have gone but everyone is now doing tungsten

I've stopped buying ridge monkey now. I agree about the issues with their products. The action station was a joke. They even replaced it and the same problems still existed. Another company getting the customers to do the testing I fear.

I'd wait and see for the user reviews to come in, and for the price to drop.
I personally like the idea of it, cost aside, for me it's not about how it looks but what it does. Why any angling shelter has a sloping side/back/front is beyond me, same footprint but wasting space compared to flat sided, but I guess prettyness is a buying factor 
Sloping sides, can't stack things against the side,
Sloping back, can't sit up on a bed buddy,
Sloping front, can't bend down to reach anything without hitting your head.
Brilliant that...but as long as it looks good

I know mate, I've had a couple of their bits and aside the bivvy light they've had faults with the design. just shows the power of good marketing I guess

My mate got his a couple of weeks ago but he preordered as soon as they took orders, he loves it, but once he's set up he don't move and only generally goes for 48hr sessions or weeks in France, but he does admit it's rediculously heavy and bulky and he's only got the small one. Personally I think there is far more versatile shelters out there for less money and think most people that get them are doing so just to show how much money they got lol
