I am going to put this on eBay shortly.
Prices have gone up due to stock shortages. I actually paid £280 for this, so shouldn't really leave myself out of pocket.

As it happens, it is. I am in the process of moving house, but that won't happen until mid November at best.
It is in the original box, unused, along with the Solar accessory bag.

I’ve currently got a wrecked back which has been playing up for years. I’ve got a memory foam topper on my old cocoon which is pretty comfy, but with that on, plus a cover and separate bag it all weighs 17kg+. Thinking of investing in one of these as my bag and cover combo isn’t warm enough for winter either.

I have just purchased the sp tech bedchair (£278.99 from Dorking angling via ebay) and have to say I am mightily impressed with the build quality and the quality of the materials used - I have owned a few bedchairs over the years and this Solar one pisses all over the others.

I’ve been using this 4 nights a week for the past 6 weeks now. I’m 6’2” and 86kg.
Never once had back ache, the sleeping bag stays put nicely and you don’t get a draft by leaving one side unzipped for a quick exit as it has, er, flaps.
The strap to close it up tight for transporting works well.
It’s really well made and comfortable.
Easily the best bedchair I have owned in 30 years.

I have just ordered a standard one from Dorking Angling Centre. Managed to get 10% off, charged me £278.99.
Could probably have done with the wide, but am thinking that 18cm is not going to make a world of difference.

It is not overly heavy at all. 13KG from memory) Granted it is not a lightweight bit of kit but it is by far a long way from =being the heaviest! Best bedchair I have used over the past 35 years & I have been through most of them due to trying to find one I c an lay comfortably on with my spinal problems. I didn't go with the System as I already owned a Fortis Techlite bag which is a perfect fit on the frame & mattress of the bed.
Although I say it is the best bed by far I have used, if you are considering one, make sure you compare side by side with the Solar Undercover Bed, which is a third of the price, 3kgv lighter & i didn't think was that much difference in comfort or features TBH! I am even thinking of selling the wifes Fox Flatliter Mk2 Compact with both Aquos covers & both 3 & 5 season bags to get her one of these & a Techlite.

Excellent review, have been looking to replace my nash indulgance wide boy for a while and have had my eye on this bed.
Is the duvet fleece lined? Dont like the fleece lining myself

Well after some considerable thought and testing of bedchairs I decided to bite the bullet and go for the Solar.The main legs lock into the frame which is a plus as previously (and I’m sure we’ve all had it happen) my Nash always collapsed when positioning it in the brolly/bivvy leaving me swearing and fighting with the damn thing.A gentle lift and the one touch spring lock legs and it was level in no time.To sit on the bedchair itself is very comfortable eliminating back strain.The mattress was mega comfy and the bag very warm but cold when I first got in just like the fox mk1 flatliter which I like as you can move around without the bag sticking to you.Obviously it’s not the lightest on the market or the cheapest for that matter but the hours spent in and on it almost certainly justifies the price.The build quality is excellent as you would expect from Solar and in a very nice shade of green too.Not everyone likes a firm mattress I know but if you suffer with back trouble then I would highly recommend this bed for that comfortable nights sleep and no aching in the morning. Surprisingly it packs down fairly small with the 5 season bag and cover on.With only one main strap to close it when packing down I would have preferred two just my opinion but it does the job it needs to.In my honest opinion it’s the ideal bedchair and my best to date and believe me I’ve had a few along the way so if you’re looking for a firm back free pain nights sleep get on the solar it’s mega!!! I appreciate some still prefer the bed and separate bag way but if your looking for a bed then check out the Solar I for one absolutely love it!!!
