On rivers and canals I tend to favour spinner baits - the ones with the offset blade and large single hook. I often attach a small trailing treble.

I have several pike lures in my arsenal but I always prefer to use the burbot for trolling big pike. This site has a good list too https://fishmasters.com/best-pike-lures/

Abu Garcia Toby Spoon Lure in silver or blue flash.

Old but good and out fishes everything else ime.
