I ended up with 54 items in my basket..... ....stocked up on leads and hooks, plus a couple of bits I really wanted
In reply to Post #1024 I put 19 leads in my basket and a bivvy save a bit of dosh
In reply to Post #1022 I went on to look to see how I could apply it to a new set of reels.
By the time I added the other 17 items (that I could use) it worked out more than the discount
In reply to Post #1021 Fair play mate
I was in a rush when I done that message the other day and so thought it was possible I had mis-read or mis-interpreted it!
I did think 20 items was quite a lot, unless you're stocking up on 19 packs of your favourite hooks to get one particular bigger item you need discounted!
In reply to Post #1021 Got to admit I thought the buy 20 items was a bit much...I wonder how many takers they got, can't be many.
In reply to Post #1020 Sorry, that should have been 'I read it properly'. Terrible English on my part, and forgot it was a reply to your comment.
Context: I was trying to get 20% off a single item purchase and once I read it properly realised I had to buy 20 things which'll never happen 😂😂
In reply to Post #1019 Can't read it, email deleted the other day.
Had another similar yesterday/today, deleted that too so can't read that either :(
Happy for you to correct anything I stated that was wrong though, that would be far more useful than "Read it properly"
In reply to Post #1015 . Read it properly.

In reply to Post #1017 100 ah ecoworthy 12v lithium battery was £142 through the ebay website with a promotion code last week
In reply to Post #1016 Just looking at that Amazon page (thank you) and noticed that they also have the same sized battery (100AH) but without the bluetooth for £195.49 (and a £40 off voucher!)
So £155.49
Then, if you were to buy a separate bluetooth monitor (£22) you'd still have bluetooth functionality but without the extra cost.
I have these on my batteries at home (Old lead acid Leisure battery for outboard, leisure battery in the Mrs VW camper and on my van battery). So I can go and stand on the front drive, load the app and be within bluetooth distance of all 3 batteries and get their current levels
LINKY POO™ https://amzn.eu/d/0KDTPBw
I just loaded the battery monitor app (for those bluetooth monitors I have) and here's what you get to see...looks like I need to nip out to the garage and stick the trickle charger on that Halfords Lead Acid battery...I have a reminder on my phone that pops up every 3 months telling me to check it.

Bargain Lithium battery £209 (you have to apply the £20 voucher on the page) Eco Worthy (which is a well know brand) 105A with Bluetooth and self heat. there's a vid on youtube showing these batteries are 100% same internals & circuit board as the FogStar Drift. Proper bargain.........

These are still on the website and have been reduced to £6.99 so grab them whilst you can!

Just been into B&M, they are selling a pack of 3 x Insulate Beanies for £6. These are the ones that also have a lining in which you can wear all day and night and not get an itchy head, as Gerry used to recomend when Aldi's used do one a bit similar.
I bought a pack of 3 black, don't know why, as I have many of them, perhaps it was because it was a bargain.

In reply to Post #919 I don't, but I've got the quest trilogy which is very similar.
I sold my fox black label pod and swapped for this. I think its great. I use it as a buzz bar set up, with stabilisers just for a quick set up.
The quest one comes with 9 banksticks, and at a length i prefer. I thought the Saber ones were abit long. Just my preference.

I stocked up at 50 pence a pack of my favourite gardener hooks. Can’t go wrong.
In reply to Post #905 If you're not fussy about what hooks you use them yes you can get them for very cheap but I only use a couple of brands and patterns.
I use to use atomic hooks and they were very cheap on fishing outlet but I'd only buy them and not use them like all my other hooks 🤣
Those Gardner 5 for £5 were a bargain tbf.
In reply to Post #903 Its mad how cheap hooks have gone again. Not all obvs but there are some real bargains to be had.
When you think a few years ago it was going in a different direction and some of the prices seemed silly expensive.
Like you I'll be blown away if I ever run out of hooks for a long old time.
Unless of course there's a new fad and we'll all be using size 2's or size 14s with built in shots on the bend etc.

In reply to Post #872 Surprise, surprise! A lot of places do this for Black Friday, (not just Tackle shops!). The missus wanted a new cooker, we got one about 6 weeks ago with a 10% discount voucher for £365. Same cooker is now in the "Black Friday Bonanza" at 25% off but with a starting price of the RRP which is £499 so with discount applied.....£375....
You will only get a decent bargain tackle wise on items that never sell far below their RRP.

In reply to Post #871 But not really - got the email and thought it worth a look, the items I was interested in seemed have have had the price inflated to account for the discount, eg, Solar sofa recliner, about £200 or less everywhere it seems, price at OutlawPro £225ish and £199.99 after discount.

In reply to Post #866 I used to work in a sofa shop back in the day that had a constant sale...
I'd be told to tell customers the sale is ending Sunday...sonid sell something...the customer would come back a couple weeks later and say oh the sales still on I thought it was ending? Weil I said well it was that good we extended it 🤣 just scams!
Also, I rate terminal tackle UK much more than bank tackle.

In reply to Post #850 it is round but the edge of it is quite sharp, you need to be mega careful and make sure the braid tucks behind the clip and don't rub round the outside of it
In reply to Post #848 I bought one off the back of the £50 comment and already owning affinity mk1s, I spooled up today with 28lb braid. I didn't notice any issue when spooling up but it has me worries when i use them on my next outing, i'll definitely be cautious.
In reply to Post #848 Is it not a circular clip like the MK3 affinity fishing reels?
In reply to Post #848 I bought 3 penn vantage 7000’s from TFT recently, spooled the first one up popped the line under the line clip and I couldn’t believe how sharp the clip was. Tried all three reels and ended up sending them back for a refund.
All three clips basically cut about a 1/3 of the way through the line making the clip absolutely no use whatsoever, I tried backing the clip off with powergum but that didn’t help either.
In reply to Post #841 anyone use these,I've used mi e this weekend and the line clip edge is really sharp...you have to be so careful when putting it round the line clip as it frayed my braid this weekend.
I had to be really careful when putting it round the clip

In reply to Post #820 I used the hooks a while ago, great value. When I used them I was fishing a lot and getting through the rigs, so wanted a cheaper hook. I always gave them a few licks with a stone. The curve shank was a good shape and eye angle. I didn't lose many fish on these hooks.
I have since changed, but at the time for my needs these did me good.

In reply to Post #809 I can't see a Solar sleep system for that sort of money. It's a sleep system I have purchased
Looking at the Solar site they seem to have:
SP 3D Dura-Dore Sleep System Wide - RRP 499.99
- only 2 legs (4 feet). What is this, the 1990's
- no memory foam
SP C-Tech Memory Foam Sleep System MKII Wide - RRP £705.99
- only 3 legs (6 feet).
The Avid has 4 legs (8 feet)
All the Avid gear I have used has been good, well designed.
The Korum stuff (their coarse/specimen brand) can often be a tad 'fisher price' looking with big chunky designs and not great build quality.
I may do a review when it arrives, which will hopefully be tomorrow.
I also ordered the heat blanket, which I found new on eBay for £55.
The Nash one (which doesn't even fit all their beds due to the elastic toggles being outside of the zip!) was roughly £100 when I got that....and sent it back once I realised it only fitted the LATEST beds

Best bargains.
When shopping for expensive items at angling direct in store always check the website price.
They have a system where they under price items out of stock on the Web. This the entices you in and as they are out of stock they hope you search other items.
So when instore they may have stock at the normal Web price. So ask if they can match a Web price. They will then either say no or ask the price. But will come back with a best they can do price.
Then point out the price you have is from the AD site.
Got a set of sonic alarms shop price £150 for £120.
Then a set of aircurves £240 at the time was the best price anywhere . I paid £189 each for mine.
In reply to Post #807 Isn't the new Solar bed a far better bed for similar money? £389 before the haggle.
Avid gear gets a bad press.
In reply to Post #807 Looks around £60 cheaper than everywhere else. Average price around £410-£440
I've been looking to get a new bed to replace my Nashy SS3. (The hinges on the SS3 stick up, they are two little sheets of rounded metal and the dig in the back of my legs)
So started looking at the AVID beds...not sure if TFT's website detects what I like and am considering buying because today (few days later) I get an email with AVID bed discounted!?
Avid - Benchmark Ultra X System
RRP £499.99 (fair enough, take that with a pinch of salt)
Save 14% knocks it down to £429.99
Then the email gives me code XTRA20 and so badda-bing...
Discount £86
Total price, for the X (wide) model .... £343.99
Have I been done, or is this a decent deal?
I paid £12 last November to join the 'XTRA' subscription as I wanted free next day delivery on purchases I had made...you know what it's like sometimes...you just need a little £10 or £15 item and you don't want to pay postage....
So I am not sure if that code will only work for XTRA members or if it works for anyone
(It's not all items, I think it's just the ones with the red 'SALE' wording next to them)

I really like TT but this is such a 1980s Argos way of doing things, putting the price up to reduce the price, drives me bonkers

In reply to Post #725 Thanks for the feedback Karlos, good to know
We took the dog for a walk a few weeks back and the mozzies were there...but...they were the zebra striped ones, half the size of a daddy long legs, I don't fancy being bitten by them Those buggers bit through clothes in Thailand, nasty pieces of work, make UK normal mozzies look friendly!
In reply to Post #720 I've had one of those LIDL Mozzie killers since they first brought them out a year or two ago. I think it was £12.99 back then.
They work nicely.
If you zip up the mesh on your bivvy and there's the chance of a mozzie or two still in there I just turn it on, it lasts all night and it's USB-C rechargeable.
It can make the bivvy smell a bit of burnt mozzie, but I'd rather that than bites to the wrists/ankles!
Recently I binned the cardboard box and now carry it around in an old pull cord tent bag I found laying around...it's not bullet proof but it's pretty well made.
I also carry a plastic tennis racket looking mozzie zapper...infact I found something on TEMU earlier that looks as though it might perform both tennis racket duties AND stationary zapping

In reply to Post #719 Have you used this ? Seen it in real size ? It’s about the size of two 500g gas cans for a Bulin Not exactly compact But yes seems cheap £
Have I used it? no, I bought it on Tuesday, give me a chance...ha ha.
Seen it's real size? see previous answer and it's slightly bigger, see pic below.
I'm not bothered about it being compact it will also be used in our camping tent, maybe even in the house at times. It's certainly not for those wishing for a compact lamp but in this day and age of power barrows what difference does it make. I don't hang them from my tent they usually go on the floor under the bed where mozzies like to hide and I don't like crap falling onto my bed.
What I'm concerned about is, does it actually work, is the element bigger than compact varieties and does that make any difference, I guess only time will tell

This picture will self destruct after a few weeks to free up space on my account!

I`m looking at the Deeper Chirp+ 2 - 265 quid with sunglasses bundle. To be honest, i would preffer to have the Deeper only as i already have nice sunglasses.
Do you guys think 265 quid for the Deeper is as lowest i can find it? Should i wait for Black Friday (it`s not urgent for me to buy)?

In reply to Post #707 This is what really puts me of businesses, just advertise things at the lowest price you can sell for and still make a profit.
They aren't offering you a discount, they're jist knocking off the extra they had added on. It makes me very weary of I'm overpaying when they make young play these silly games to find out thr real price.

In reply to Post #698 Maybe because the picture used on ebay is not the exact black line?
Even so I thought there would have been more takers from the forum given I said Bobco had confirmed it was the black line in post 663.
I might get another spool just incase I like it, be silly not to at that price!
In reply to Post #697 Maybe because the picture used on ebay is not the exact black line?
Unless Bobcos item in stock counter isn't working I'm surprised these spools haven't gone faster. When I 1st posted about them it said 58 in stock, as of now still 50, strange as its a bargain at that price !
In reply to Post #690 When you said it was the black stuff, I went and ordered 2 more spools of the 12lb.
Then, the spool I ordered the other day turned up and it IS the black stuff.
Well chuffed, as long as it performs OK...but from what I have read the 12lb is the better of the breaking strains to go for.
I used the 10lb once (many moons ago) and it seemed to break VERY easily :(
Hopefully this is as good as the black stuff I have on a load of my reels now. Nice and cheap top-up/replacement

In reply to Post #682 Not sure if this has been mentioned, but TFT are doing the 12’ 3.25 X-Flites for £79.99. Just had 3 delivered today, can’t fault them for that price and it’s a lot cheaper than anywhere else.
In reply to Post #672 Email them and ask them for a discount.... if you dont get one then shop around at other retailers for the best price. There are discounts to be had, you just have to contqct them and ask... especially if your spending abit of money. Likely be able to get more than 5% off if you do.

In reply to Post #678 The problem with the email I got from them is it’s offering 5% off my first order.
There is no link to or mention of T&Cs which may apply..
I can only read what is in front of me.
Feed that back to them then
When I search there website they can be found.
https://www.total-fishing-tackle.com/terms-conditions
So as they have not added it to the email received I am hence questioning
You've done exactly what I would have done (check the main site) and what I think they assume you will do. TFT could have put the link in, it's not hard, but it's also not hard to find the info if you go on the site
Good hunting...I'll reiterate though, they regularly have 10 or 15% off codes, might be worth waiting if you can if it's a big purchase and not excluded, up to you as always
In reply to Post #672 They probably won’t reply to an email. I have found the best way to contact them is the WhatsApp link on the website.

In reply to Post #676 Yeah, common sense really not to apply discount codes to lready discounted items. I'd imagine the T&Cs state it, I seem to remember it saying broadly there are exclusions, to account for manufacturers who don't like their items being publically discounted.
I’ve found the codes won’t work on sale items, I received a 10% one and had various things in basket and it removed the discount for items not already on offer, so imagine that is within their terms, to try add something small alongside boat and see if it takes off the discount on just this Jean?
In reply to Post #674 Very odd mate, I'm sure they will honour it. From memory when I used it I'm sure there was another voucher in the delivered item with 10% of another order...worth bearing in mind if they still do it and your looking to spend some wonga
In reply to Post #673 Nope , baitboat related.
I just looked through the email I got, there are no mentions of any exclusions.

In reply to Post #671 Nope it is the first time I’ve ever created an account with the intention of purchasing for them.
I’ve sent them an email questioning. 👍🏼
In reply to Post #670 If you used the same e-mail I would imagine TFT have a database of those who've already used the offer so it can't be abused, can't blame them.

Though when trying to make a purchase I input this code they gave me and it does not work .

Bobco on Ebay are clearing 0.32mm 12lb Shimano Technium for £5.29 delivered.
I checked with them and they said the 12lb listed is the black, not the Invisitec as shown in the main pic but as shown in the description.
That's a bargain in my book even if it's the relaunch stuff. You might want to check with them if unsure.

In reply to Post #581 That 555 is almost 4 x the capacity of the 521 linked earlier in the thread, so roughly 3 to 3.5 ti es recharging a very average laptop at a guess.

True

In reply to Post #577 Double check the prices against another store before buying from Go Outdoors.
They permanently have 'sales' with very high discount. The reality is that they either inflate the original pricing, or they are flogging off a few bits of end of line tat with the high discount and the half decent stuff works out at around the same price as everyone else.

In reply to Post #571 Just a heads up about this item... I purchased one a couple of years ago. Used it for 3 weeks fishing in Europe during that time and was very good. I always stored it well, charged it every 3 months etc and now does not work at all. Completely dead. Since seen quite a few reviews where people are reporting the same kind of issue - so beware before parting with your cash - wish I'd only paid that amount for it, wouldn't feel quite so bad. 🙄

In reply to Post #566 Glad its not just me thinking that, I unsubscribed because of it, I'll look at the site in future.
They could do with splitting the social from the bait for a start, not so keen on the social stuff, not into the 'stars', instant no watch from me.
No doubt I'm in the minority, happy to stay there.

I love my Fire Maple heat exchanger 0.7litre kettle
as it fits inside my pan and my bag of tea bags fit inside the kettle too
I have a few kettles but came to the conclusion why boil more water than you need ? this will make exactly 2 mugs OR in my case 1 mug and a splash to wash up thats plenty for me

In reply to Post #512 They are amazing for me Andyman. The big difference with fast in and out for me, is I can charge an iPad or a MacBook Pro on fast charge while watching 4k video constantly. A normal small power bank without fast out simply cannot do this efficiently. The device uses more power than the bank can supply. The battery clock is always ticking down. If it reaches zero you are not watching anything else.
Your ones, with the dual fast charge in and out, with a type C out cable, they charge faster than the drain on the device battery while watching downloaded videos/films on a MacBook or iPad. It's like having a portable tiny leisure battery with you. On a long haul flight they are absolutely brilliant, much better than the planes USB power supply too which is often broken anyway. (I'm in Brazil right now).
£14 for them is robbery. I have three now and next time I see it i will buy more

New bedchair time...
I have just received my Advanta Discovery CCX Straight 6 Bed Superlite from AD.
Very pleased, and only £63.99.
Weighs less than 7kg, roped around the edges so nice and firm.
Used with a SIM it will be fine.
It's basically the same (a couple of minor differences) as the Wychwood compact that costs £140.

I ordered two at £14 notes so £28 spent in total, I didn't really need them as I have a 20000mAH one already and a 78000mAH ridgemonkey pack for the larger items but as TC said yesterday peanuts for a 20000mAH power bank.
Gives me better options I suppose generally for a couple of nights my smaller 20000mAH pack just about does usually down to the last led of charge but two of them would be more than sufficient, I'll pack one in the fishing kit and one in the van for backup just in case, anything longer than a couple of nights I take the ridgemonkey anyway which I've never manage to completely empty in a week away fishing.

The the 50% off voucher is now gone. Amazon work like that don't they. They will only sell a certain amount at the silly price. Snooze and you lose.
Keep watching that page over the next week or so. They are already on sale at £28 reduced from £44.99. But then they will randomly have a 50% off that code as well. £14 I have paid for three now. I got one when Andyman posted a couple of weeks ago, but then the voucher disappeared. I looked earlier and the voucher was back. Got two more today.
The voucher will be there staring you in the face, you tick the box, you will not miss it.

In reply to Post #464 Where you guys getting the discount code from for the powerbank? Every time i try it, it never works
In reply to Post #463 They are very good indeed. You have to really watch the stated powers on the cheaper ones. But this is def 2000 mAh I gave it a good test. It’s the size difference as well. This photo is it next to a 2000mAh Rav Power. That has fast out, but not in. Big size difference.
I have ordered another on a family members Amazon account too, so I have three now too. Kids can have all my old ones. Got three of these for less than I paid for that one RavPower!

In reply to Post #462 Welcome mate, I've got 3 of them and agree, they're gone bits of kit especially for the discounted prices.
In reply to Post #431 Nice one Andyman. I already have loads of the older charging banks. Some have fast in, some fast out, but none both. I got one for £14 last time which is buttons for these. Was so impressed, I have been waiting for them to go back on offer again. They are back with the 50% voucher for £14 today and I just purchased another.
For iPads etc they are the absolute kiddie. Thank you.
AD have a “black ticket” sale on at the moment with certain items heavily reduced.
I’ve just ordered a Bushwhacker pro for £139.99 which worked out at 38% off rrp and £20 cheaper than any I’ve seen second hand.
I know there are various threads for aftermarket electric motor Barrow conversions but TFT have the Nash power barrow in the sale for £469.99 obviously this only has the 150w motor not 300w like the aftermarket jobbies but at that price your getting a full motorized barrow not just a wheel kit which are nearly as much to buy at around £400.
I have bought one recently and it works well enough for what I need, I adapted my carp porter rear wheels to fit which makes it a doddle

In reply to Post #433 @ Baitman cheers Dave great idea storing the legs !!
when I bought mine
I went on ebay and found a seller of galvanized metal discs that supplied any diameter and asked if I bought 2 could they cut a hole in the centre of them ? for the spirit. level thing
they said yes no problem what diameter and it would not be an extra charge too ! so I got a big one and a slightly smaller one
I drilled the 3 holes needed one I fitted with BA nuts and bolts that the legs of my favourite Primus Gravity stove legs just drop on and is rock solid so can use a ridge monkey toaster with complete stability
the other disc is larger and takes any stove including my Trangia`s or Coleman etc
I am not too good at the moment but as soon as Im well enough I will dig it out and post up some pics

Anyone following this, the stove stand I linked below arrived today, it's proper heavy duty, impressed for the money
Perhaps we need a 'pimp my stove' thread
In reply to Post #419 Stove stand arrived today.
It's slightly too small for my bulin stove with the legs fully extended but I can just leave them in a bit. At some point I will find a metal tin lid about an inch wider and drill 3 holes to locate the legs.

It's a shame there is nowhere convenient to store the legs... perfect.

In reply to Post #417 I do like the simplicity of that design and your solution too Gerry. I had thought of doing the same thing years ago with a MSR Trillium base but couldn't justify the cost, still can't!
In reply to Post #428 yes mate
I have the 25,27 and mini plus lots of different spirit burners
I have been using them for donkeys but the banks of the Tidal Trent are the reason I bought the leveling device in 2016
a blooming site different to any pit I have ever fished
In reply to Post #426 Getting it all level is easy to do with the Trangia as the burner (fuel or gas) is built into and as one with the pan stand and the wind shield surround. The burner will always be perpendicular to the pan or kettle base. If the ground is uneven a twig or two under the base in the correct position sorts it.
As a Trangia owner I’m sure you already know this OG. If there was any benefit to one of these adjustable pot stands with a Trangia then they would be available as part of the kit. Those Swede’s ain’t daft and they certainly don’t only cook on level ground.

In reply to Post #424 the point of these its to get your stove level on uneven /sloping ground a Trangia would benefit in some cases
In reply to Post #424 Re the windshield. Can't see me needing more than 2cm for levelling, 2cm for Steady Rig base and my stove is 9cm high, around 13cm total, coincidentally same height as that stove base. I already use a half height shield at 15 cm (off memory), I do have a standard 1 somewhere too but prefer not to use it (wind).
In reply to Post #423 Looks good but you're going to need a big windshield. I'll stick with my Trangia 25. Does it all.
In reply to Post #416 Sorry, only just seen your Q.
My 2 stoves have small triangular feet with holes in them, I think I'm going to drill the base and put some pegs in so they lock the feet into place. My stoves are tri leg and share the same 120 deg angle as the supports on the steady rig. Both my stoves are also 17cm circ on the feet so fit nicely. Only problem is 1 of them (Vega) has the gas pipe supported on the feet so it means I have to use the steady rigs legs at almost full height, not a problem as still quite low. I'm thinking of putting a pot support over the stove for added stability, the combo should add stability and I'm again wondering about chopping the pot stand legs and drilling the stand to take the legs, modding them as needed or just taking the legs off.
All overkill, probably not needed but its cheap as chips, keeping the grey matter ticking over and I like to fettle
A pot stand like this, 16x17cm so matches stove base nicely.

In reply to Post #411 had one of these for a few years I went on ebay where you can buy round galvanised sheet metal disc`s of your specs ( I asked for a hole to be cut in the centre)
bought 2 one I fitted with ba nuts and bolts so my Primus gravity stove legs drop on the other one is big so I can put any size stove on used it all the time on the sloping banks of the Trent very handy bit of kit and a steal at that price !!
In reply to Post #420 When I found out they existed I managed to speak with him on the phone. He said they cost too much in parts and time to make so he couldn't sell them cheap enough.
He said they were unavailable in this planetary system, but said if anywhere might have one it could be Johnson Ross. Five minutes later I got the last one!
I ended up selling it when I swit he'd to gas for what it cost me about 15 years later.
I think the screw thread was just using parts that were already made up, it's useless for the stove stand.
It did originally have little black plastic balls on the end of the stainless for feet.
In reply to Post #417 Pity Steve Neville doesn't make them anymore.
The advantage to them was the screw thread in the centre for a bankstick - great for a brew when you were 20 yards from the bank in your chest waders in the reeds.
I tried to buy one almost 20 years ago from him. Spoke to him on the phone about it and he said he no longer had the templates he used to make them as they had been lost in a fire. As the demand for them was low he had no plans to re-introduce them.
In reply to Post #418 Thanks for that. I will measure the spread of the bulin feet tomorrow.
I ordered one earlier, bloody forum
In reply to Post #416 Dug it out and it is exactly the same as Vossy’s 👍
Dimensions are:
Outside edge to outside edge ( less locking lugs) 175mm
Inside edge to inside edge ( first gap) 155mm
First groove 130mm
Second groove 110
Inner of second groove ( wedge fit 90mm)
With the lid I put on it was a was prone to sliding so used a small plumbers heat shield cloth cut to size. With the benefit of hindsight most modern day gas stoves don’t generate heat downward so not really required so a plastic lid would suffice if not too slippy 👍
Going off companies house it would appear it may be bankrupt or clearance stock at such a low price so once it’s gone it’s gone 👍
In reply to Post #411 What's the diameter of the stove stand.
I saw Singlebleeps suggestion of using something to make a flat base for a bulin, so would like to find out if the legs would fit within the circumference.
In reply to Post #414 I was too tight to buy one back then I was watching them before Xmas, but never seen them this price.
Had a quick nosey on companies House, says Rig Innovations dissolved 2013 (if its the same one).
In reply to Post #411 Bought one of these quite some years ago after seeing a review in Carpworld, probably 10+ years ago so I bought one. It was around £15 back then so these ones are an absolute bargain.
Not used it for a few years as I fish off platforms on my syndi, but it’s still in the side pocket of my cooking bag for any time I end up on uneven banks where it’s invaluable 👍
Edit: Not sure if my older one has got a couple of extra rings? What I did do was find a metal tin lid ( paint tin lid) which fits in the grooves so you can also use it with a stove with fold out legs - Coleman, Bulin T4 etc.
In reply to Post #412 I used to have a Steve Neville one, the coolest bit of stainless ever
I like a bit of shiny, bet that looked 👌 could probably buy a house selling it now if other things are to go by

ND2 large battery pack. There is a young lady on facey who makes these £110 inc postage .
Her f/b page Kinga's Freelinerunner . She says she might be able to make other boat battery packs .She sell the chargers ,a little unit to plug into battery to show charge level . Also a gadget that fits on to your rod then puts tension on your reel spool when driving your boat out . Her communications and delivery are excellent . I have nothing to do with her ,just came across her on f/b . If we can i feel we should help youngsters out .

In reply to Post #315 England angling are well off my list of suppliers.
I ordered a reel from them, but didn't get round to spooling it up for a few months. When I finally did, it was a much cheaper reel in the box.

Solar Bow Lite Landing Net
Go Outdoors Members RRP £90ea / EXTRA10 at checkout
I ordered 2x AND had to pay an additional £5 as my membership had elapsed; for whatever reason after adding the EXTRA10 code I got £36 off the total RRP (which is 20% in reality) so with the additional £5 in the basket this took the total to £149 for the pair!
Maybe this algorithm error would work on any item that is simply duplicated (ie. order 2x of)?
Don't blame me if it doesn't work!

In reply to Post #237 Same mate.. debated the spider but not quite enough room for me, plus do really like the thicker material.
Hopefully the 100 will be high enough for me, I think I should get away with it at 135h The 150 version would have been way too wide...

In reply to Post #224 Unlike the rubbish Total Fishing Tackle sale, Angling4Less have a genuine sale on with their "normal" prices discounted.
I was going to get an Aqua baiting pole from TFT, but as stated by Rich and Joe, increasing the prices just before Christmas then discounting them to their "normal" prices is NOT a sale. So instead, I got a Nash Bushwhacker 15m one for £170 less 15% = £144 from A4L.

If anyone is after some rechargeable AA/AAA, the ikea ladda batteries are currently 3 for 2.
£7 a pack of 4 x 2450mah AA and £5 for a pack of 4 x 750mah AAA
If you're buying in store or collecting from store, do it in separate batches if buying a few of each as the discount comes off the cheapest. The £5 packs are taken off first even if you have 3 packs of £7 and only 1 of the cheaper.

In reply to Post #180 No as she already purchased the scales for me and in her own words you don't need anymore fishing gear (God forbid my order of a new rod holdall and spod reel arrives whilst she is here today). Just a quick update to all our customers to let you know that we've decided to extend our 20% OFF SALE until the 13th February. We kept getting asked as anglers who got paid at the end of January didn't want to miss out. We won't be letting it run any longer than the 13th and we'll take away the 20% OFF at midnight on the 13th Feb, so grab a deal while it lasts.

Exceptional value for the money, i love them.
The 8" buzzer har only weights 72g, but thick ali tube so they wont bend.

I have just got a pair of Chubb stainless 3 rod buzzer bars for £16.99 inc post.
Very solid looking and because it's a stainless tube they are not quite as heavy as they look.
The front one is 15" and the rear is 13" and they can be fished with a single stick or goal post set up.
An absolute bargain.

In reply to Post #61 They are excellent trousers, I have three pairs of black lined ones.... Wash the black ones on their own though!! I just followed your link to buy some, if they had not been black ones.
I have never known a pair of trousers attract lint like the black ones do. If you wash them with a green fishing hoodie... They will pretty much look green after one wash, so much lint will stick to them it's unreal. I've had grey and khaki ones in the past for years, but the black were on sale two winters ago when I was after some new ones.
Washing them on their own... Is a good option.

Guessed this.

Try searching with some of words in discriptions.
Then look for ones with diff size options to pick, 170mm, 148mm etc.
Should find other ones.

Ask when you go a pub that does meals they are glad to get rid of them.

Go to a food shop outlet they usually buy large buckets of salad cream, mayo etc etc
I got 6 from them about six years ago and still have them 👍
You don’t ask you don’t get

In reply to Post #15 It's a fair point about recycling, however I cant think of anything I've purchased in the last 40 years that has come in a bucket. If paint pots were easier to open I would be set.
In reply to Post #14 How is that cheap?
I've never paid for a bucket in over 45 years of fishing. Mine have all had paint, oil etc in. Save the planet, recycle.
EBay and vova are the places to go, ive just paid £1.20 For 25 hook stops, less than 1/2 price, got 20 line aligner things I think they are called for 99p.
Exactly the same as in the shops .

In reply to Post #7 The amount of things Gerry recommended I never knew I needed
In reply to Post #5 But it’s good for when someone posts a bargain price on something that you weren’t necessarily looking for
In reply to Post #4 Yes, sorry that’s what I mean’t, I found it really useful.
I honestly think its pointless ?
I mean if your after say a cheap bedchair you make a post asking where is the best place to buy one and you generally get lots of helpful answers
your hardly likely to start searching a best buy bargain thread on the off chance someone may have posted about one
In reply to Post #3 Or start one you mean?
I think it should be revived
