That's the only issue I have is the rain dripping down into the front, I could zip it up but as I've never zipped a door up I'm not gunna start now. I just keep a towel at the front to keep it from accumulating. But other than that it's a great bit of kit(bag is the exception) I just got my Mrs to knock up a bigger bag with a full length zip which makes life easier when it's put away wet.

Never noticed an issue mate the front is quite high so if you get a good wind and rain you need to zip the front panel in. Apart from that it's been superb

Used one for around a year never had an issue never used storm poles either been in the teeth of gusts up to 50mph and it never looked like it had an issue. It's an ugly looking thing in my opinion but that's not why I brought it. It's fairly light huge amounts of room and goes up in less than a minute. I would buy again 👍🏼

Had my xl about a year and love it .Height is perfect for me and loads of room .Previously had the tempest air which I did like but it was too low for me .What I also love with the hide is I can get so much more gear in with the bedchair right at the back .I can also get a chair in to the side and 2 bivvy tables the other side whilst it doesn't have a big footprint .It's great for quick sessions whilst big enough for longer stays .Rapid and easy to put up .The only downside for me is the short back pole .If you can't get a realy solid peg point it pops out when the others go in tight .I sometimes have to use a really long peg on crappy ground

Currently sat in mine. Its huge. I've got a fox voyager bivvy and honestly I think once the bedchair is pushed right to the back of the hide xl there's not much difference in space in the front half. Went up easy, however personally needs the front infill for me. Unless you're well over 6ft and sit high up on your bedchair I think the standard hide will be ample. I have a fair amount of headspace I'm not using here

There is a video showing how to set up the normal hide. It says the short rear pole lifts the peak up and provides tension when pegged. Presume the same applies for the XL.

do you have any issues pegging it on level ground because where I go tends to be fairly level? lot taller than I was imagining it to be but then that's why I bought It I suppose

I suppose it may be because most banks are slightly sloped towards the water...either that or they are encouraging you to peg the back centre pole in then really extend the storm poles very hard to give the Titan it's strength ?
Other than that I can't think why..mine is the same btw

back pole on any Titan is always a bit short
how come this is part of the design? I had mine up in the garden briefly and it just would not peg down at all. admittedly I had one other peg in and the tension strap wasn't connected but surely that wouldn't make that much of a difference. its a very tight fit getting it all together which i'm presuming means it's stable

I will let you know what the replacement is like Pete, may have just been a one off, (hopefully anyway!!).
On the plus side it was relatively lightweight, footprint was reasonably compact yet the internal space/height was excellent. The material was also decent so apart from the snapped pole it gets a thumbs up!

That's disappointing to hear matt, I was thinking of getting one my self they ticked all the boxes for me 👍
But if the build quality is poor it sort of makes me lose interest
I've got a fox ultra 60 full system and the build quality isn't that great on that to be fair... I used to love my old titan 2011 model it was solid and I never had any issues apart from it getting stolen out the shed lol

I know you are not one to exaggerate mate personally my Nash experiences have been mixed....
I have always used their beds which I have never had a problem with and have used Titans on and off for years which have generally been good but i did have one of the T1's which faded shockingly after one moderately warm day in September.....luggage has been very hit and miss, never used their alarms and wouldn't touch their reels, horrible things! I like the Scopes for the odd bit of canal work and stalking, although they are over-priced for what they are.
Really disappointed with the Hide XL going on me though, space wise it looked spot-on for me and the material was good for a relatively cheap shelter......I have heard from Nash this morning and need to return it to TFT so will see what happens there....typically they are now out of stock so i will have to wait an age again!!

Typical Nash imo bud.
A young lad I know recently got the standard Hide. He's just returned the second one (1st one ripped at a seam, the 2nd saw poles snap in the recent big winds).
I try not to slate tackle firms on the forums but everything I've bought from Nash in the last 10 years has fallen to bits and I'm not exaggerating.

Got mine a week ago , I put it up in my garage , live in Canada and here is still winter , find it very hard to put in place the left pole , right go much easyer , and the middle pole on the back is a bit shorter , need to push hard to peg it down. Everybody have similar problems ?

Not happy!
Just put mine up in the garden to take a look and whilst applying moderate pressure to the front left pole to guide into the moulding it has snapped at the block!
Doubt Nash are carrying spares yet so it will have to be posted back to TFT...

I very rarely use a front, or a groundsheet for that matter, but having used open shelters for years, and ending up buying overwraps that cost and weigh almost the same as the shelter just to have a front, I'm looking for something a bit more complete, but still fast and light. The hideout looks more like what I'm after but I'm yet to see one in the flesh

by who and how much? this lightweight idea of a shelter is fast turning into not being so lightweight any more I would probably only go for the groundsheet and waterproof infill to be honest, maybe storm poles if I felt they were necessary at a later date

Depending on what else you want to put in the bag I had my bag made 140cm long by 50cm deep leaving plenty of room to get the hide xl in plus the 2 fronts and groundsheet and will probably be able to fit the overwrap in it aswell

Mine arrived today set it up in the living room to check it over and attach the waterproof infill much better height for me coming from a tempest mk1 brolly and being 6ft 3. I'm glad I got the Army Andy bag as the one it comes with is crap only problem I've had is the vapour shield is missing hopefully Nash or the tackle shop can sort that out but first impressions are positive

The hide xl will be the perfect size for you I'm 5ft 11 and absolutely love the hide xl I hated how low the tempest v2 brolly was. And found the standard hide far lower again had a look at one set up in my local angling direct when they were first released last year and found it far to low at the front when sat on the Nash bedchair struggled to see out of it without ducking down and the Nash standard size indulgence bedchair that was inside it was pushing into the material either end with the hide was set up on the tension strap height

yeah the standard one wont be too bad for most but I do like sitting higher up on my bedchair and I know in the tempest brolly my head is touching the fabric, so the hide xl will possibly be more suited to me in that sense. if I'm as low down as my bedchair legs go I struggle climbing out of it  as for floor space I don't usually struggle because I have 2 bags in there and a table sometimes and that's about it

I'm 6ft 3 ish and when i tested the normal hide it the head room was fine. I just didn't have enough room for a dog bed in there. The footprint of a hide XL is very similar to many one man bivvies it just give toy extra height which make it seem much bigger then it is.

The 152cm height is at the centre of the shelter, the height to the top of the door opening is 130cm

quite like the look of this. I'm looking for a fast erect shelter as I'm less inclined to make a move if my bivvy needs a full breakdown to go on the barrow.
my mate has a tempest brolly and that sits a little too low on the head-height front for me, but is the hide xl a bit TOO big? it looks like it will fit the bill nicely but being 152cm tall is it a bit too much or does it sit quite well? is the normal hide high up enough to be comfortable for a 6ft'er who has his bedchair raised up a couple of notches?

Gave it a look over at the show in Madchester and tbh I think it kind of falls between two stools really.
It's too big to be regarded as fast and light like the Original version or the Tempest brolly.
But no where near as plush as a Titan for a proper session bivvy.

to be fair i have the standard and the bag really lets it down for what was a £250 shelter. i know its light and the low end of the titan range but a proper full length zip bag isnt alot to ask. might have to look into the army andy option.

Yep bought the Titan hide xl last week which I pre-ordered from Essex angling back in November and used it the weekend and very very happy with it much better than any of the tempest models I've used before it decent head height plenty of space inside can't fault it at all . Couple of things that were annoying is the zip in waterproof front doesn't have a clear window in the door and the sleeve the hide xl came in would have been better if it come in an over sized full length zip carry bag so you can fit the add on extra that most people will buy once they have bought the hide

I can't comment on the hide but we were told by nash at NAS to expect at least a month for the next batch of rucksacks. Perhaps it's all on the same slow boat from China.

Yeah the release date keeps changing like the Weather when I last spoke to my local tackle shop 2 weeks who I have one on pre order with they told me 10th January which it showed on the Nash website spoke to them on yesterday and it's changed back to mid February

Someone at Nash got back to me this morning - it has been pushed back again to mid-February for release. It was expected at end of Jan, after its original release date of November was pushed back.
Been waiting for this, seems decent for the money - the Hide was way to small (6' 4") and I want something with a similar quick erect system that doesn't cost T1 money.

Weight is a 3rd heavier than the standard one so I'm not sure where this fits in. It kinds of goes against the quick/light ethos. Still lighter than most bivvys though.
