Looking for some feedback on the Harrison Aviator 12' 3lb 6oz Plus rods.
1. What kind of distance are you getting with them?
2. How stiff are they?

ive got some
good all rounder and over 100yds a doddle with leader to 15lb mainline
i think they feel on the stiffer side for the test curve and a little bit dead in the hand, but feel great with a fish on
the 13ft 3.5 is my fav aviator and what i usually take out, unless i need a short rod or a extreme distance rod.

Personally I wouldn't go there (12' Aviator Plus) - I found them fine for playing fish but v inconsistent for casting - the 'window' is very small compared to other 3.25+ tc rods and I struggled with my bang average casting technique. Ditched mine for 13' Aviator Plus and they are different gravy (as are the 10' Aviators) - others rate the 12'6" for similar casting related reasons . . .

My advice would be dont get the 12ft . Its a horrible blank . Once mastered its ok but takes some getting used to .12ft 6 or 13ft much nicer to use.

Is this the same as saying 12ft 3lb 6 plus 2?
I have these rods and I think theyre brilliant.
Not sure on these comments about casting? Ive not had any issues what so ever. Had mine about 6 years now. I think they cast great.
I haven't had to cast megs distances with them, but have done 24 wraps with 20lb fluoro without issue.
If you want mega distance, definitely go with 13ft rods.
I loved the harrision 13ft 3.75 light rods. Could cast a braid miles. 38wraps was easy, but they were very stiff, not build for playing fish.
Aviator plus 2, are a very good compromise between casting and playing. Love mine.

I think your rod blanks are 2oz heavier in the test curve.
These are the 2 blanks listed on Harrison's website:
12ft 3lb 6oz Plus
12ft 3.5lb Plus 2 (3lb 8oz)
Thanks for the feedback though, that's really useful as I didn't realise there was a 3.5 TC as well.
I don't really want stiff rods and I don't really want 13ft rods.
