Looking to have slim full duplon handles and new reel seats put on a set of rods and am looking for recommendations. Cotswold are closest to me but I dont hear the best things so open to recommendations ๐Ÿ‘

Cotswold built up a set of new rods for me in 6 weeks earlier this summer and the work is really good. His coms were great all along.

If you're local, maybe worth trying to call tom or pop over to his lock up to see what he says.

Glad to see you had a good experience with Cotswold rods .
So many negative comments on here I would be very apprehensive about using them .

No question about the quality of rods Tom builds itโ€™s the lack of communication that often lets him down .

Still if you live close you always drop in on him .

Just built my first set of rods, and the handle / reel seat was so so easy and needed no special equipment. You could have a go yourself. I am the least handyman you will meet, but it really was a breeze.

Would have said Bob the Rod but he's retired . . .Mark Tunley is a perfectionist and recommended . . .Graham at Buzzard Rods also v good and probably more cost effective . . .he will also (like Bob) undertake small pimp jobs / refurbs more quickly etc
