Slightly off topic but I remember when Richworth wound up their bait production and sold off their remaining stock. I called them up to see what bait (frozen) they had left as they were selling it off very cheap, hoping to get a few bags of tuttis. No such luck as the tuttis and S-core had all been snapped up first but they had some KG1 and Multiplex available and I bought 20 x 1 kilo bags of each in 10mm frozen. From memory it was £1.50 per kilo. Most of that is still stacked up at one end of my chest freezer and I occasionally take a bag out to go into my spod mix and it still appears spot on when defrosted👍

May appear ok, but will be degraded, I'm not convinced that old bait is still worth using. Ive spoken to several. Bait suppliers who all say after 6 months, well let's be kind it wont be at it's best

Bait doesn't need to be expensive, or complicated to catch fish.
Just attractive enough to be eaten. The rest of the hype often catches more anglers 😉

Yes im aware of that. It's just surprising that the majority of that mix is semo and soya, with just 10% LT94
20g betaine per kg is also a lot higher than I've seen recommended before

Are what we may nowadays class as high carb content Maize/semo/soya flour baits really that bad ?
The overall bait is probably 25-30% protein, and some FLAA, Richworth had a great base model that rolled well through the machines and like many others it is all about the powder and liquid attractors doing the business, slightly tweaked for different versions. Globally they all caught loads of fish.
I bet quite a few proven wonder baits nowadays haven't got the expected nutritional ingredient content what with 'scientific feed information' being the way to go, baits being around 35 or 36% protein, often less, and with costs rocketing.
All about the attractors on an average base mix.

following the feed science- 2-2.5% betaine anhydrous was the optimal inclusion when soya meal is used as a fishmeal replacement.
