Just retired and decided to go traveling untill I get bored with it, will mainly be ses fishing and fly/lite fishing for bass,seatrout and wild browns. Been travelling around in it for a couple of weeks now to get used to it and decide what changes or upgrades I will make to live comfortably off grid. Must say I'm loving it so far, I've got twin refillable eleven kilo gas bottles which will last nearly two months with the heating on and using the full size oven and hot water boiler. Trying to decide on upgrading the solar and batteries to 580 amp lipos or just buy a honda inverter generator so I can power luxuries like my ninja foody and microwave. Have both satellite receiver with Freesat box and a digital aerial. Staying local untill after Christmas as my son and daughter are both here and my grandkids so will spend Christmas with them then weather dependent maybe head up to Scotland stopping on the Yorkshire coast to try for a cod or two. Hopefully going to Norway and Sweden and maybe Finland next year chasing sea trout and a big halibut. Bye for now Goose.

I worked in both France and Italy along with many other places as I was a global service engineer for thirty year's. Italy is stunning and the food is superb with seafood linguine being one of my favourites.

Cheers Chris, yeah it's twenty eight foot long, ten high and Seven and a half foot wide, weighs four and a half tons before I put my stuff in it but it's got a three litre diesel lump.

Been contemplating a van conversion myself but can't justify it at the moment, car, bikes etc. when the time is right I will be having one.

Some great fishing along the coast towards Essaouira and of course some amazing lakes.

Spent Christmas and new year with family then done a couple of nights in new forest. Now in Dartmoor national park after a slow drive through thick fog , strong winds and heavy rain. Stopped to look at a few rivers on my way but not looking good for fishing. The Avon looked like it was about to over flow in a few places. It's too rough to fish the beach at Torquay and Plymouth so will have to sit it out of own here and hope things improve.

Well I've spent the week walking the rivers and the reservoir pictured and can't believe the lack of fish in the area. The rivers seem to be trout and salmon and nothing else and the reservoir has stocked rainbows and a few wild browns. There is also a massive lack of ground nesting birds. Expected to see the Res alive with coots,morehens and swans but not one seen after walking all the way round it and there are no pike or perch in it either. Same on the rivers all I've seen is one duck and loads of robins and a jay. Have the otters wiped out all the corse fish and ground nesting birds ? Hadn't been down this area for well over thirty years and it's shocking how much it's changed in that time.

Good pics ,if your still in the Dartmoor area ,try the Post Inn at Whiddon Down ,nice food..

Passed it today but didn't stop for food as we were visiting beechmere pool (bradmere pool) but unfortunately the farmer was away so weren't allowed access but been told to give him a call to arrange a visit.

Another interesting place is just past Tavistock take yourself to Princetown,you can park in the Prison museum ,well worth a look ..
Also Dartmoor nick ,is currently closed....,wait for it,..due to Concerns about Radon ,a natural radioactive emission..we had a Radon meter installed years ago,and unbelievably we are all still alive..

Cheers for the pointers, tavistock is a nice place , will be going to Jamaica inn at some point for a walk round the Res and maybe a meal depending on the menu.
