I am 64 (and a half) and I STILL feel the need to camo the granny out of my gear. And once I have, I find it so aesthetically pleasing.
And yet it is completely unnecessary (and pointless). I am not in a combat situation and I freely admit it has NEVER caught me a bonus fish……it never will. But, if something stands still for long enough, there is a strong possibility I’m gonna camo it!
And when we set the bivvy up, aren’t we just building a camp like we did when we were 10…..coz it sure feels like it sometimes!
examples….

Funnel web container…camo’ed!

Throwing stick….camo’ed!

Lighter and fuel tablet pouch…selected camo version over plain

I think I have known for a long time that in my head, I’m still about 15. Am I tragically alone in this or are there others out there, similarly afflicted?🙁

Must say I'm the complete opposite as far as camo goes. I ain't having anything camo unless there isn't a plain version available

...and that's the irony...if I am buying a brolly or bivvy or similar I will ALWAYS go for the plain version over the camo. I think it's just the small stuff I have to camo...looks like I am even odder than I initially thought🙁

I've always said carping especially overnights ,sessions ,is the same as Bushcraft or wildcamping bikepacking even ,cept without the rods ..

I think we all like to rough it a bit and enjoy being outdoors as much as possible..

I got a camo reciever pouch ,I'm literally always putting it in a safe place, sometimes I have tweak the line to find it ...I'm more of a full on green gear,in general...

My favourite part of fishing except for actually catching a carp every now and then is the camping out part, when I was a kid I saved up and brought my kit (mostly from badger lol) but I couldn’t afford alarms yet as really wanted the fox microns so I’d still do nights at the local lake but just stay up all night I used to get home absolutely exhausted 😂 I think when I got alarms I did about 3 weeks down there in the kids holiday, back to the original post lol I prefer green over camo personally
Are you sure?
