Quote: That’s the ones, absolutely brilliant Knee Pads
They do look like they are going to provide max protection for the old knobblies!
Thanks.👍

Quote: I’m a Tiler and use the Fento Kneepads for work, I wear them all day long even in the summer with shorts, not particularly Carpy but they are easily the best available.
I had a bit of a search.....is it these?

Quote: The first adjustable bedchair was marketed by Cliff Fox with input and endorsement from Kevin Maddocks. It was called the KM adjusta level. Looked really good on paper but was as uncomfortable as anything.
It was super uncomfortable and the novelty of being able to set up on sloping banks wore off very quickly.
I had it for a couple of seasons before selling it on and getting a Lafuma .....it was SO much comfier and I could usually find something to jam under the legs to make it level😎

It is always interesting to see somewhere you fish regularly with it's pants down! You build up a mental picture in your mind but seeing it for real just crystalises everything for you.
This is Darracott reservoir in North Devon that I fished many many moons ago. Three or four pouchfuls of peanuts out to the right of the valve tower was always a good bet....

Quote: I don’t know why but I’ve never really had a go with zigs at night. Hardly ever use them during the day as well to be honest
Me too!
I am also super interested…I have got as far as sorting out a few zig bits and bobs that fit nicely in a rucksack pocket….and I still haven’t used them. I even got all creative trying to make “Bugs life” type zigs….which I thoroughly enjoyed doing, to be fair!
I just need to find the confidence to use ‘em!

Quote: Old Fox Bedchair. This is an early model, maybe the first? The square legs were steel so were heavy but the bed was narrow so there wasn’t as much too it as today’s wider chairs. The frame wasn’t padded and the hand wheels dug in you constantly, but I thought it was the dogs doodahs in the day.
I had an original and I distinctly remember it being damn uncomfortable.....and the feet would disappear into soft ground without any undue provocation. I put up with it for a couple of seasons but soon swapped it out for a Lafuma bed that I considered almost as comfy as my bed at home...I just needed some level ground...and you can usually find a little bit in most swims or just get a bit of old wood to strategically jam under it!

Quote: Depends on the lead weight and size of bag
Agreed, by the time you've packed the bag, with a 2 oz lead, you could be looking at over 4 oz and, as long as you have the lead at the bottom (weight forward) and you have packed it tight, folded the corners in, etc, a suitable rod will put that 90 yards quite easily

Quote: - I will only ever weigh after doing photos and then not overly accurately
Quote: It will be just over xxlb or just under xxlb.
I am kinda going along a similar vibe....if I do decide to weigh a fish I am not bothered about ounces, a ball park is good enough for me.
May sound odd but I genuinely do not know what my PB is....I have a handful of fish in my album that are around the same size but as I am not reading ounces I could not tell you which is biggest...I would actually say I go by looks...for me, my PB is what I consider the prettiest of them....it is the lookers that stand out for me, every time
