Looking for recommendations please chaps.

Money not an issue, just decent flat pack down size so it can stay in bed when collapsed/deflated and comfortable, decent on neck support.

Alpkit ,is worth looking at ,use my inflatable pillow for wildcamping as well as fishing ..

Don't overinflate it,it becomes uncomfortable, and make sure you have a sleeping bag that has a hood ,or it'll slip out ,mines a fortis techlite ..

Thanks for the recommendation. I’ll deffo have a look.

I’ve got the old fortis tech lite without the hood cover and it drives me mad.
I just put the head of the bed against the bivvy but always wake up with it on the floor.

I have a Sea to Summit pillow, got it from Go Outdoors, excellent just lives in the bed.

As said don't over inflate.

Trust me just use a real pillow! I used one for 4 days and woke one morning with awful pain in my neck. Flash forward 3 months to today and I almost recovered from a trapped nerve in C7 in my neck. Lost a lot of muscle tone and strength because of it (and a lot of pain). My Physio is in no doubt the inflatable pillow is to blame.

I'm no physio but as others have said, that doesn't seem like a good idea. Surely they are intended for extreme scenarios rather than as a long term solution? I'm way too particular about sleep... I have a Tempur pillow and I can't go anywhere without it. It goes on every trip with me (and has seen a few continents on my travels too!)

Never used a pillow on the bedchair.

I just used a lightly rolled up softie jacket. In winter it helps reduce drafts as well.

A mate of mine has just bought a pillow for fishing from Premier inn! I didn't know they sold pillows - but he said it's the best pillow his ever used in fishing for over 30 years.

I don't want to be a pain (in the neck, sorry I'll get my camo coat), but I was chatting to an outdoors guide recently, and he said don't use inflatable pillows, they all give you aggro, get a normal pillow.

I had a two nighter, met him on the second day so went off to GoOutdoors and got a nice 'fishing' pillow from there and it was sublime in comparison. Westlake I think.

I take two domestic pillows both with 'carpy' covers in a drybag . . .going to try the Premier Inn ones as they've always been comfy when I've stayed there . . .

If you get on with memory foam (and I know it can be a bit marmite) then nothing beats the combination of a Tempur pillow and mattress in my opinion. The cheaper memory foam beds or pillows are no match... you get what you pay for. The pillows are probably the biggest difference maker and only a hundred quid or so. I feel like it's one of those things that once you try it, you can't settle for anything less.

I have to be careful as I have a issue with my neck and if I aggravate it it can take weeks to heal. I always take a feather pillow, haven't yet got on with a memory foam job, or the Mrs latest super pillow, whatever it is 🤣

I had an inflatable pillow in the 80's and it was excellent, very comfortable, I could not fault it and it lasted me into the 2000's when it sprung a slow leak. I cannot recall where I bought it from though. For the Winter months, I bought some fleece material from Boyes and I made a pillow case for it and that made it far warmer.

I still have it and always mean to fix the leak, but as for the fleece pillow case I still use it to this day and just stuff my fleece jacket or one of ours Lasses pillows etc inside it.

Basically, I think to find a good one, they need to be large, mine was, and do not inflate them too hard. I did replace it with one, but it was a lot smaller and even though I did not over inflate it, the air had less space to compress into when I put my head on it and it would be hard and a bit too high and I could never get it right.

I just use a normal pillow in a Gardner carpy pillow cover. Folds up in the bed no problem if you fold the foot end first then put the pillow in the area where the head end fold is, if that makes sense.
