Any user of those rods ?
I fish canals, little river and also gravel pit but absolutly don’t need distance casting powerful rods !
I hate broomstick, i like to have a rod that bend when i play a fish, but i also hate a noodle, i like a progressive blank.
How this rod Will compare ?

I have used them for some years now and they are really nice rods with a great playing action. From what you write I think they will suit you.

Most modern 10ft 3 to 3.5 test rods have a progressive blank, it’s also the most common action.
The Extricator, Sonik Xtractor, ESP Onyx Compact, and several Fox EOS 10ft models all lean towards a progressive action.
So take your pick.
Some maybe a bit more crisper than others

I find them well balanced and not tip heavy at all. I have used them with my ss2600 reels and that is a really great and light combo. On a recent trip I put my tournies on them just to try them with a bigger reel, but I like them better with the ss2600.
I've had fish to over 40lb on them and never felt undergunned.

Have used these rods for past 3 or 4 years, light, responsive, quick tip when casting, rods bend when playing fish, absolutely love them. Have landed upper 30lb fish on them with zero problems, love them

They are great rods; lovely playing action.
Doesn't feel overgunned on small carp, yet has plenty of power for dealing with big fish too.
A proper caster could probably get over 100 yards with them, I can just about manage 20 wraps.

If I need to cast, i have my 12ft Torrix for the job. ( or my boat…..😂)
Those wychwood will be for 80% of my fishing that is under 80 yards.

I purchased a set of Wychwood Extricator + 10" 3lbs (cork handle) few years ago
You can't go wrong with it !
No issue on small carps and even on my local small french river where fishes fights like hell on stream
These rods worth your money ! 👍

Hi All,
I make a quick feed-back on those rods after having fished a few Times with them !
I have those extricator + in 10ft with the cork handle.
The rod is really slim and well balanced, very light! the rings especially the tip ring, are maybe a bit big but it’s just me.
I have them paired with Penn vantage 7000 and the combo is very well balanced.
On the casting side it’s surprisingly good for a 10ft, i clipped at 100 meters and with a 0,33 mono, a 3,5 oz lead, a 6 inches fluoro hooklink and a 15mm bottom bait, i hit the clip by 7 Times on the 9 cast i tried, so really enough for my fishing with them !
Now, the most important part : the action on the fish ! I absolutly love them !
Since i have them i have caught fish from just under 10lbs to just upper 35 lbs and the rods are a joy during the fight, they bend really well, and have enough power to make the fish turn in front of the snags on the canal !
I really want to thank you all for your opinion as it’s really a very good rod for the price and i m well happy with them

what line are you using mate, .33 seems low for a 3.5oz lead, i was always under the impression atleast .35 for a 3.5oz lead

I use the fox exocet pro mono in 0,33 (16 lbs) with a clear Amnesia in 20 lbs as a shock leader Andy ( more for it’s abrasion resistance properties against the mussel, rocks etc…)
I fish a wide variety of water here in France and this combo work very well for me !
I rarely need to cast more than 80 meters, if i need distance, i use my Torrix or if allowed, i jump in my boat 😉 .
