I have 3 ESP catapults and I need to repair all of them. The hollow elastic keeps coming out of the fixing lugs, succeeding in firing boilies about 2ft from the bank.

I need a glue to fix the elastic onto the lugs, the lugs on the frame are metal (brass I think) and the lugs on the pouch are plastic. Any recommendations on a particular glue, I guess it needs to be a flexible glue? I will also put cable ties on after the glue has set. Have used varying glues before with no success.

Forget the glue it's a waste of money cable tied mine and it's lasted years

I've glued and cable tied mine at the same time, and the bloody things still fly off!!!

If its the right size elastic. Push them on. I usually wet it to make it easier. Then leave for a couple of hours. It drys and grips realy tightly.

I had a Drennan boilie-pult graveyard in my shed, half a dozen frames, either missing pins, elastic or pouches.
Managed to cobble together one from the lot

The I made the mistake of buying Megapult for the larger frame and heavier elastic- what a POS even with a smaller pouch.

I replaced mine with surgical elastic much much better

I just added a drop of washing up liquid to aid the fitting onto the pins

I've done the same and there are so many different strengths to choose from. I'm currently using a softer one that I find perfect for smaller waters.

Exercise elastic can be a bit more user friendly as usually colour coded for different strengths.
