New ticket this season but with age hitting me like a brick (mid 50s - dodgy knees) I'm not sure I can stomach 48hrs+ in the Ultralite, primarily because I'll be sitting on a bedchair buddy for the majority of the session . . .
About to bite the bullet on an RS but just need to know whether I can get both bedchair (Mk1 SP C Tech - Standard Size) and an SP C Tech Low Recliner laid out / with headroom for the chair (erected and undercover) and room to spare for buckets and the usual cr*p. . .
Have seen both RS100 & 150 at the recent Big One show and they both look massive to me (larger than Tempest V2 Bivvy that I'll be ditching). RS150 would be the obvious solution on paper but looking at stats its only 100m deeper than the 100 so would the RS100 be a better bet to ensure fit for tighter swims etc whilst still housing my required furniture?

I just sold my Rs100 as it was tight with my spc wide chair. No way you would fit both chair and bedchair in the 100 mainly as you lose a lot of space rear of chair and bivvy as your bedchair hits the ends of the tent (hope that makes sense). With the rs150 which is wider you can angle your bedchair leaving ample room for chair on top.
I had the extension also which works great but my new syndicate is raised and gets extremely windy so i decided to get the 150 also.

Thanks David - so an RS100 with Social Cap would do the job however I'm not sure swims would be big enough so for comfort you reckon RS150 is a better bet due to overall width?
My Mk1 Bedchair is 'only' 800mm wide x 205mm long hence thinking RS100 might be ok. . .

I tried the rs100 for a while and would go with the 150 for this
It was sent back due to an issue with the taped seams, and so because my chair wouldn't fit I went with the rs brolly in the end.
My bedchair is a wychwood tactical plus compact which is 200x80, but I never tried the rs150

The social cap is only 1.2m extension would have to be a realy tight swim to not fit. They are very easy to fit also and makes a big difference on space. For me the 150 just fit my needs for new syndicate otherwise would of gladly kept my 100.

I've been using the rs150 since release, dne 100s of nights both home and abroad and have yet found a peg it doesn't fit in. I have a flatliner bed with a chair on top and there's plenty of room. I can have barrowbag, bait buckets, stove, bait boat and a chair setup on the floor. I also have the social cap for when my kids come so I can fit 2 beds in front to back with a walk way in between.

I've just gone from a Frontier XD to an RS100 and so far am ok for space, I'm 6'3" with metal work in lower back, i did look at the RS150 in a shop and it was very wide, 3.2m I think so opted for the 100. A mate has the RS brolly which is slighlty smaller than the 100.

I used my rs150 for the first time on wednesday and its the perfect size for my wide c tec. My mate has the 100 and the 150 is a much better size if you want to put your chair in as well. As mentioned you can angle your bed as its a wide bivvy so will give you even more room for your chair. I went from an aqualite to the 150 as the ultralite had no coverage at the sides with a wide bed in it. The 150 is brilliant.

Two things I never thought I'd see, and yet they both appear in the same thread! Belch finally seeing sense / facing reality with the Aqualite and Stuart actually using his gear!

lol . . .should have kept my Pioneer 150 but was simply not using it enough at the time (plus it was massive and silly heavy). Age catches up with you - knees and back are no longer designed for roughing it on bedchair buddies . . .I'll be buying a Cadac Safari Chef next
Will never ditch the Ultralite however . . .24hr sessions (if I ever return to doing them) it will still be the bivvy of choice based on 'carpyness' alone . . !
