What are the best carp nicknames and the stories behind them? Jack the Net Ripper is a personal favourite (from Horton I believe)

Was a fish in a lake I used to fish, called "Jagger". Had proper massive rubbery lips lol 😂

Not a great lover of naming carp.
I remember catching a carp of a reasonable size, it was a PB and I was pleased.
Then some knob came up proclaiming it was called blah blah and then proceeded to tell me the history of its previous captures, how much it weighed previously and how much it had gained and lost.
Spoilt it for me

The strangest names I came across were - Inter City and Dracula

The Beast..cause it absolutely beastie you when caught it

Abbey, Kingfisher. Your mum. As in "what you had mate? "

We did come up with some good names for those Roach (and then Spinny) fish.
Alongside Inter and Drac, we had Special Brew, Chippendale, Solar.
Then one of the features to cast to from Caravan Point was Madonna's Tits.
Best of times and such a laugh. No sponsored anglers, no names. Just fun.

The Millwall fish in Stone acres, because it likes to ruck (fight hard). Hartley's in Christchurch because you have to be a jammy bugger to catch it.
