A very popular day ticket water near you that allows boats, has gone from a fairly easy runs water a few years back,
to somewhere that probably does around 6-10 fish a week on average most of the time. 300 plus fish in 7/8 acres at a guess. Should make it fairly easy with that sort of stock.
It’s my guess that it’s become a lot harder to get a bite than you’d expect because of almost everyone using a boat.
Same small piles of bait dotted around all over soon gets the fishes guard up.
I’d say the biggest edge you could have is to not use a boat and do the complete opposite to everyone else.

I’ve fished a certain lake complex in France and kept an eye on the catch reports as best I can now for a good few years.
I’m I00% certain that it’s the week of the new moon that it always fishes well. I don’t think I’m the only person to have noticed this either as those weeks seem to get booked up first 2-3 years ahead. I’ve probably been there 10 or more times and the best 3 weeks I’ve had have been on the new moon in September.

Mark, will the GPB2 bottom bait barrels be in the shops anytime soon ?
If you could do the tackle box ones with the ming oil that would be fantastic 👍

Abbey lakes Frog lake is ideal for this. I believe in certain months they also do a lads go free type thing, you’d have to contact them to check the details though.

Exactly what finbob has said below. Mirage baits Esterblend is what you’re looking for.
