I need to get new spool washers for line lay and not the drag.
If I've got the right Daiwa spare part code of F04-3401, for 9 it's gonna cost a fair bit.
Any unbranded options I can use instead? I saw the ice ones but they look to only be for the drag and not spool alignment.
Reels are old Emblem Excelers.

Just had a very quick look for spool/line lay washers on Westons, there's state for x mm round shaft and increments of 0.5mm, probably requiring multiples to 1.5mm (in the case of the one I looked at).
Thinking aloud, if that's generic and you can measure the old one, won't any stainless steel washer of your dimensions do?

Jims a great fella mate, I recently contacted him for a forum member and he's happy to recommend others if he doesn't have the part in stock. I've had the carbon washers for my XBRs from Jims and fitted them to the father in Shimanos a fair few years ago, top service

I was in the same position a few years back and emailed daiwa direct and they send me a load out for free.
I did offer to pay in my email and asked the costs, but they just sent them out.
May be send an email and see how you get on,

Worth a punt, they did the same for me once, but last time I checked for another part they told me they didn't stock it anymore and they'd reduced the time they hold parts for reels. They did however say there's a lot of cross-over regards reel parts, so always worth checking.

Any thin plastic cut to size will do, I used milk carton container plastic a few years ago.
obviously limited to thickness but lots of plastic about nowadays.

Thanks, yeah I was told to do milk caps by Nick at reeltech, but I'm hopeless with anything handy like that and a lazy fecker too 😂😂.
I'll email Daiwa, be neat if I can get a bunch for free, but twenty quid from Jim's isn't too bad either 👍

I only answered the Q you asked, lateral thinking isn't always my thing. In my home brewery days I used to make my own seals and washers as mentioned with a punch kit, still have them, just thought you'd of thought feck that before asking
