Hi I'm looking for reviews on the shimano aerlex xtc they looks the nuts so I'm very tempted

I would go with the xtds but slightly out my budget

Solid and reliable is my view having had a set for a number of years previously. Quite heavy but that wasn't an issue for me. Drag is decent and I didn't have any issues of line getting behind the spool etc which I had done with other budget reels in the past

Moved to tackle section as you'll get more views here

Comparing against other 14K sized reels on the Shimano website.

A few less bearings, a bit heavier.

But hey we all get like that as we get older.

Looks a good deal imho

I used Aerlex reels for years without issues. As mentioned, the line NEVER went behind the spool.
